The paps were relentlessly badgering John Mayer in New York last night. And retaliated by buying them food.
Mayer was outside of Butter, where photogs teased him about Jessica Simpson and his song "Your Body is a Wonderland," but instead of getting even, Mayer footed the bill for enough Coke and chicken wings to feed the hungry.

22. John Mayer is a normal human being-which is amazing, since he is part of that contagious cyclic selfish hollywood scene. It' true, most of us have the ability to symphatize with others, yet I am amazed that some celebrities with privileges and a public voice-don't have a conscientious heart and are so oblivious of their power and influence. It bothers me to see people, whom in one way or another become idolized, transform into these careless robots-incapable of remembering what life--true life-is really about. It's pathological to have access to many privileges and not do a damn thing to acknowledge the needs of others. It's not about commodity and status anymore-it's a sickness! I mean what's the point of having status and money stacking up in a bank account when there are human beings dying of hunger and disease-people whose basic needs are not met. I know I'm taking this far, but I'm speaking about the principle behind this random act, and I just want to say that It's nice to see someone, like John Mayer, consider others. OK, anyhow, CAN someone tell me why John Mayer keeps getting reminded that he dated Jessica Simpson-the man, considering his talent, charm, and good-nature has probably engaged in sexual contact with so many women in the past-and why do you creeps keep talking about something so "minor" in his life? OH, what does FIRST mean...RANDOM ADVICE: Sponsor a child today-little things lead to big things...changes.
