Paps Smash Up Lily Allen's Ride

The paparazzi went waaaay overboard trying to shoot Lily Allen last night -- surrounding her outside a UK pub and breaking the window of her car. Damn, guv'nah!

The out-of-control scenario ended with Allen hopping into a cab, with nothing at all to smile about. On her blog Allen writes, "It was a scary situation and i want people to know that it was totally their fault and that the whole situation has angered and upset me ... we were both horrified that people could behave in this way and get away with it."

16. # 13, I was going to say that too! The fact that her driver was drunk is not what caused the accident. (bad as that was) They also did not die because they weren't wearing seatbelts, foolish as that was. They died because the paps had hounded them to the point of needing to find a last-minute alternative plan, which was then discovered by paps. How many times does this sort of thing have to happen? Paps are hurting innocent by-standers who aren't celebrities for the chance to get that perfect shot. They've hurt more celebs than just Diana & co. They do damage to people's property. Frankly, the scare the hell out of celebs and by-standers alike too. I'm glad that LA PD is finally starting to enforce laws there and I hope they create new, more stringent ones. (and that other areas follow suit)

Yes, by being here I am also part of the problem. I'm supporting this sort of behavior by viewing. What a sick world though, that the editors of tabloids and such don't have the human decency to listen to those of us like me who say "enough" before forcing a boycott.

Blame the paps most of all though and support legislation to stop them!

17. yeah the paps are way out of control now.they act like asses & get way too close & then break her car window? that's ridiculous & she should press some charges or something. you'd think that after it happening to princess diana there would be some rules/laws. guess a human life isn't worth it!

18. I agree with her. The paps take it too far. There should be a MANDATORY 10 foot law for anyone who has ever gotten paid more than $50 for a photo they have taken of ANYONE. This would classify anyone who is a Pap from an admiring fan looking for a photo. And 10 feet from a celeb or person of interest would give them safety and the photographers a better picture. It is not a matter of if they are going to kill someone with their mania, but a matter of when. We will all be sad not to have some of the great actors we have now just because people don't want to be an open book. They do interveiws and award shows for the publics interest. They deserve to eat, shop, and be human without everyone tagging their every move.
