"A.I." Contestant's "At-Risk" Past

Danny Noriega"American Idol" wannabe Danny Noriega has issues.

We found out Danny attended Sierra (Continuation) High School in Azusa, Calif., a school dedicated to "at-risk" kids.

The crowd at the school? According to Sierra High's website, students are "significantly behind in credits -- and at risk of not graduating -- who want a second chance to succeed and achieve a high school diploma."

Danny graduated last year, but school sources tell us he had a rough time, working through his "gothic" phase -- that's when Danny boy went on his Christmas video rampage. One source says Danny had "multiple issues" which landed him at the school.

7. sorry I graduated from a contiuation school, I see nothing wrong with that, some kids move around alot with military families and have to be bounced school to school and in order to keep up you have to go to continuation school, whatever his situation is I applaud him, he could be another loser and just drop out, at 16 in cali you legally can! so Keep up the work and get that diploma.

12. Does anyone else think this kid is Jessica Alba's long lost relative? It just scares me to watch sometimes - he looks sooooo much like her. He needs to go home anyway, so who cares where he went to school? This is a singing competition and he just doesn't cut it.

And as for the haters who think AI goes too far with the "background" of these contestants - better it comes out now than later - part of the beast - get over it!

15. Teenage time is a hard time, we all had some sort of problem at one time or another. At what point do you ever get to grow up and let the past go in the eyes of the public? His Christmas video was not that bad, and hey he graduated and has brought himself up from there, we should all be so lucky. Be happy for him!
