Angelina Shrouded in (Not-So) Secrecy

We spotted Angelina Jolie and Maddox at their Midtown hotel this afternoon, and the staff tried to do their best Villa impression with a screen to shield Angie and Mad from the paps as they hopped in their car.

There have been better ideas in the history of celebrity obscuration -- and we're told that when presidents and heads of state visit this particular hotel, shooters (photographic and otherwise) absolutely can't see a damn thing.

Adoption of your own tribe should be against the law. She lured Pitt into her wacked out world and enticed him to join her circus of freaks. She is the biggest idiot that I know of. Her tattoos are nasty looking and she has brought Brad down to her level. He will never be able to regain his box office draw. She will never be able to regain her box office draw either. They are both has beens that now have a flock of misfit kids to take care of. Both Angie and Brad have flushed their careers down the toilet.

Um, has anyone else noticed that the license plate could read "CA Porn"...what's up with that? Maybe I'm hoping she's off to a seedy studio somewhere after she takes Maddy home.

Doesn't Maddox have to go to school? She is constantly on the move and he seems to be with her...when does he attend classes or socialize with other children his age?

Cartman: well put. Yet magazines put her in their beauty sections. I can't believe anyone would find those fat lips desirable and that women actually pay to have the look. Generally a fat lip is followed by someone being arrested for assault. So so sick of this conniving witch.

Angelina Jolie’s Public Statements on Refugee Crisis
Over the past few weeks, actor and UNHCR goodwill ambassador Angelina
Jolie has brought new and heightened attention to the Iraqi refugee
crisis. She visited the region, spoke to refugees and internally
displaced persons, and met with high-level U.S. and Iraqi officials.
The news and entertainment media covered her visit, and she penned an
op-ed in the Washington Post last Thursday.

In it, she pointedly states:

My visit left me even more deeply convinced that we not only have a
moral obligation to help displaced Iraqi families, but also a
serious, long-term, national security interest in ending this crisis.
Today’s humanitarian crisis in Iraq - and the potential consequences
for our national security - are great.

Ms. Jolie is exactly right here. The crisis is dire, and the U.S. has
a moral responsibility to address it. She urges increased U.S. aid to
the region, which Human Rights First also believes is extremely
important. And there’s a twin obligation of the United States, as a
member of the international community and a key player in this war,
that goes unmentioned in this op-ed - the obligation to resettle the
most vulnerable refugees in the United States.

In an ideal world, or course, the 4 million-plus displaced Iraqis
would be able to return in safety to their homes. But it’s not an
ideal world. We must step up to help those at greatest risk.

Ms. Jolie also calls on the presidential candidates and leaders in
Congress to include a comprehensive refugee plan as part of any Iraq
strategy. (Check out our earlier blog posts for highlights of
presidential candidates’ mentions of the crisis. Also note that
there are leaders on both sides of the aisle seeking to address
specific aspects of the crisis.) It is indeed essential that the
refugee crisis be considered in all its aspects by the current
administration and congressional leadership, as well as the future
leaders of the United States. It’s inextricable from the region’s
present and future.
