Somehow the star of "Showgirls" landed a gig hosting a dancing show ... did they not see that train wreck of a movie?!

Elizabeth Berkley -- who's proved her acting chops on "CSI" and "Saved by the Bell" -- will host Bravo's Step Up, So You Think You Can Dance "Step It Up & Dance."

It gets better: a press release for the show actually mentions the words "critically acclaimed" and "Showgirls" in the same sentence.

Lmao! That is sooo funny. I remember the line from Showgirls that they used to advertise the movie: "I"m a DANCER!" Lmao. Still, I will always, always remember her best for being Jessi Spano on Saved By The Bell, and that episode where she gets addicted to caffeine pills - "I'm so excited..." - too funny.

It's OK. We all know Showgirls is trash.

What's not OK is that Bravo looses it's credibility by obviously misleading press.
