33. If Britney ever wakes up from this nightmare of a life she has created for herself, she will wake up screaming! She will only change when she realizes she doesn't have a life right now...she is merely existing and going through the motions. How sad..
She needs her kids more than they need her! I wouldn't give them much access till she has admitted she is a huge mess, has not behaved responsiblly towards herself and will remedy those problems. If she cannot or Will not accept responsibility for herself, she cannot be responsible for 2 little boys.

37. i think that while she is melting down she's never going to get better if she's not given the chance to. how is someone supposed to work on themselves and have a stabile peace of mind when they are nearly killed for some crazy paparazo who wants the pic then sells it and see it all over the country in every newspaper depicting only the bad and never the good. headlines like 'britney says she doesn't want her kids ' etc.. b.s like that. every paprent has a moment when they need a break from their kids doesn't mean they don't love them just they need a minute to regroup. but everything we say and do isn't on the fron page the next morning or the first thing you see when you check your email and for her it is. if they don't leave her alone she's going to end up like marilyn monroe. commiting suicide because she's reached her breaking point. just leave the girl alone!!!!!

38. I'm happy for Britney. She is doing so much betrer it seems and looks so much better and healthy and stable. I hope she continues on this right path after her Dad is no longer the conservator. It would be tragic to see her go back to Sam Lufti and all that craziness. Shes come so far and I think going back to that old lifestyle would kill her.

39. To Knooper (msg #12): the only ones who construe this to be a "violation of her civil rights" are people like you who don't understand the legal issues here. The Federal Courts are those who deal with constitutional issues such as those pertaining to civil rights, and one of these courts has already ruled that a previous filing concerning Britney's civil rights was baseless. I have no doubt that if this is brought to Federal Court again, the same decision will be rendered.

A conservatorship by definition removes some of a person's rights, and this remedy has been supported over and over again in Federal Court.

Even though this conservatorship might not have been extended due to fears about Britney's mental health, I personally believe that she is very likely to go back to her old, self-destructive ways after the restrictions on her are lifted. And I believe that they _will_ be lifted by July 31 or sooner.

In any case, I believe that Britney's problems go beyond these psychological issues. Ever since before Sam came into her life, and even before K-Fed was in the picture, Britney has shown herself to have low intelligence, to be highly immature, and in general to be unable to function effectively with adult issues in an adult world. No amount of mood-stabilizing medication can change things like that.

What I think will happen is that on or before July 31, the conservatorship will be lifted. Then, I believe that Britney will go back to her self-destructive ways with a vengeance, in order to make up for lost time. I don't believe that she will
have learned how to keep from blowing all her money and ruining her career, nor do I think that her IQ will have magically increased. Therefore, I predict that soon, her problems will be worse than ever.

The only person who can prevent that is Britney, herself, and so far, I so evidence that she is willing or able to do so.

The fault, dear Britney, is not in your stars nor in the people surrounding you, but in yourself. Ultimately, your fate is in your own hands.

42. This is one smart commissioner. Keep tabs on her till you and her Dad know if everything is ok. Then and only then Britney should come out and make an appearance before her fans etc. Then she can get back on track and take care of her kids. Good luck Britney. Alan

Here's my take on it. The court is still concerned that Lutfi will get a toehold back into Britney's life, and with that nutcase Eardley, will regain control over her. Remember that Britney had given Sam a power of attorney. This is one of the things that alarmed Lynn and Jamie Spears, and is no doubt a reason for pursuing a conservatorship. A conservatorship will trump a POA, but only for long as the conservatorship remains in existence. I think Commissioner Goetz has concern that the POA will be resurrected and Lutfi will again have power to make decisions for Britney. Until Brit is healthy enough to understand that Lutfi was taking advantage of her, and revokes that POA, then court is going to protect her and her assets. It's just that simple. I think, too, that while the court sees the situation as stabilized, this is no assurance that Brit is ready to assume all the demands and responsibilities that go with her life.

Plus, it takes more than a few weeks to get her financial affairs in order and trace back any suspicious transactions that occurred over a periods of many months. It's a big task, something that Brit hereself has never undertaken. The Commissioner is going to geive them some time, in case they need to pursue legal action for fraudulent transfers that have depleted Britney's assets.

I predict the conservatorship over her person is likely to terminate before July, but the conservatorship over her estate will continue for some time.
