Lets Get This Party Started
For Swayze, Show Goes On

Patrick SwayzeEven though Patrick Swayze is battling pancreatic cancer, his latest TV project is still in contention for a pick-up by its network.

A&E says that "The Beast," which stars Swayze as what's described by the AP as "an unorthodox FBI agent," is "being considered" by the network and could become a regular series. If that's the case, Swayze's rep says that Patrick wants to stay on the show.

The actor's doctor says that he's "optimistic" about his prognosis, but the reality of course is that less than five percent of pancreatic cancer patients survive more than five years after diagnosis.

Jamie Lynn – Back on TV So Soon?

Could Jamie Lynn Spears be back on TV before she has her baby?

People reports that J-Lynn will be appearing on a new ABC comedy called "Miss Guided" in a guest spot. Of course, she'll be playing a "troubled student who gets some exciting news from college," not unlike Lil' Spears, who just got her GED – and is reportedly looking to go to college.

The show was shot before she announced her pregnancy, but, at least given the timing, after she got knocked up.

Party Favors: LiLo Not Posing for Playboy ... Bill Shatner – Frustrated Ballet Dancer? ... "View" Not Hiring Cindy Crawford

Despite her boob-baring appearance in New York magazine, Lindsay Lohan won't be taking it off for Playboy, her mom confirms to Usmagazine.com. ... William Shatner might not be in the next "Star Trek" flick, but he has signed a deal to be part of a documentary on a ballet that was set to his 2004 singing CD. "Bill is really a frustrated ballet performer," says a rep for Five Star Pictures, to the Palm Beach Post. ... No, "The View" is not hiring Cindy Crawford to be a co-host, despite what Liz Smith reported the other day.

16. Anyone remember when Swayze got busted for flying a plane while he was extraordinarily intoxicated?

18. Quite a few family members have this cancer, it is painful, uncurable most of the time, and there is no "limited" amounts some reports indicate. My prayers go to him and his family, it is a horrible death!

19. Sorry to hear about Patrick Swayze. Pancreatic cancer is no longer an automatic death sentence. Medical technology is advancing by leaps and bounds. It is possible to have a partial-whipple to remove the cancerous part. There are drugs that block the cancers from growing. I wish him the most successful, healthy, longterm survival as he fights this cancer.

20. I wish Cindy could come to the view and they would get rid of hasslebeck. I have not watched 1 show since she came back from maternity leave. She makes my skin crawl. it is very sad about Patrick Sawyze, pancreatic cancer is a for sure killer. Micael Landon only made it 3 months after his diagnosis. I feel so sorry for the Spears girls. I know their parents must be feeling a tremendous amount of shame. In managing their careers they lost the ability to parent. Now they are having to suffer the consequences and pick up the pieces of their childrens live.

26. For those that have not figured it out yet. TMZ is NOT a newsservice of the journalistc variety. It is a SCANDAL sheet, in the same realm as News Week, Star and the Enquirer. Death/illness is not scandal. Teenage pregnancy, mental illness etc is. Why they (TMZ) do it, is because we read it and then make little comments here.

27. I remember meeting him years him years ago when he still had that Cessna 414, a plane which he made an emergency landing at a construction site in Arizona. A heck of a nice guy who smoked up a storm. you have to wonder if all those cigarettes eventually caught up with him.

A group of articles say he is flying up to Palo Alto for chemo. God I hope his wife Lisa is at least current in that Beechcraft (Duke? King Air?) because Patrick is going to be in no mood to fly back to Southern California after going through that.

30.
Sad news for Patrick, but maybe God gives the deserving ones enough waring to put their house in order and prepare for a Better Place. Patrick's flesh may leave soon, but his shining spirit will be awaiting the rest of the deserving and faithful ones.

Well Done, Patrick. You were one of the SHINING ONES. And in your profession, that is a rare thing.
