Why the sudden change in attitude.

Ah cos its happening to a woman, I see.
As for the fee's themselves. Someone should look into how lawyers on both sides could generate and ask for fee's like these. It's criminal.
An evaluation of how they came to these figures should be done with an amended amount being charged to brit.

79. Assuming they worked 80 per week (yeah right) for 5 months. That bill still averaged out to $625 per hour. They are trying to financially a$$ rape her.

81. Ok, let's say the average attorney can bill 55 hours per week. (which is very agrgressive) . There are 21.5 weeks in the five month period in question, which equals 1182.5 billable hours at 55 hours per week. To generate 600,000 in legal fees, one attorney would have had to work on this case NONSTOP, 55 hour per week for 5 months, and bill his time at 500.00 per hour for eech and every hour worked.

Does that sound logical to you? Even two attorneys would have had to spend 50% of their total billable time, on this ONE CASE ALONE, for 5 months to generate this kind of legal fee.

Oh really ... lets look at the math ...

Her attorneys arent from Wal-Mart (i.e dont earn $10/hr). They probably charge easy $300/hr conservatively (hey - if you dont like the price - shop somewhere else).

Lets see ... 3 attorneys (average to include support) ... $300/hr ... 5 months work... weight it at 80% (640 billable hrs) ... gee - $576,000.

Sounds about right to me.

Pay the bill honey.

84. K-Fed's creepy attorney, Crud Ball Kaplan, has been using this gig for all he can get. He gets TONS of free publicity, appearing in front of the cameras all the time to give his godlike pronuncements on what is a basic custody case. The free PR he gets alone should pay off his attorney fees.

And what about that PR guy Sands that worked for Kaplan? The PR didn't go for Brit, obviously. So what--Kaplan's charging her for PR for himself and K-Fed? It would be interesting to see the other ways Kaplan has been padding the bill. We already know he's been having people babysitting K-Fed and making him behave so he looks like a good daddy.

It's been obvious for some time that Kaplan and K-Fed were capitalizing on all of this. It's a custody case, guys, not the O.J. Simpson trial. From now on, K-Fed should be required to pay for his attorney out of his OWN money. His profited from Brit enough, he'd be a washed up dancer if it wasn't for her. And Trope and Trope? Thieves, taking advantage any way they could. Multiple attorneys attending a custody hearing? Give me a break. They are all a bunch of louses--Kaplan, K-Fed, trope and trope.

Pay for your own lawyers, K-Fed, you a**hole. You've taken advantage of Britney long enough, And hey--you got nannies. SO why not get a fulltime job?

This was never a simple custody case, she needs to pay up she caused a media circus everyday for the last 5 months or so, this is the cost when you want to play!!!! she never took it seriously, she taught that she could do whatever she wanted like not show up, or show up several hours late. She played the courts and lawyers and now it's time to pay for her disregard to the law.

88. Don't you think that if she would have shown up to all of her court dates, when she was supposed to, her legal fees wouldn't be that much? Instead, she chose to blow off all of her court dates, so that they were continued like 18 times each. I think she should DEFINITELY have to pay those bills. ALL of them. It's her own stupid fault that all of those bills got so high. I bet if she would have acted like a normal, who cares what is happening to her, and if she would have shown up to all of her court dates, the first time, those bills wouldn't be as much as they are. I hope she does have to pay it. Anyone else in America would have too. Actually, no one else's bills would be allowed to get that large, because they would actually HAVE to show up in court, or their attorneys probably wouldn't represent them anymore. I just can't believe the way she has been through out this WHOLE situation, and now she's trying to get out of paying for it. INSANE!!!!!
