97. I doubt that Britney even knows how much all of this has or will still cost her. She just let her business manager (Grossman) handle all the bills and finances that came in. Now that the conservators are scrutizing her affairs I doubt that much more can be scammed off of her. The conservators are cleaning house and are putting everyone on notice that bills won't be blindly submitted and paid. Yeah, she probably does have a mental illness and probably was drugged by Lutfi and that is why the conservatorship continues. It really is in her best interest, whether she knows it or anyone else agrees.

Working for a doctor I see this happen all the timel. You call to have his car fixed dollars signs go on. If you call and say its for you the price of the car goes down. Its just about who they can get money from. PLEASE lets be honest for a change.

101. I think Sam should have to pay the lawyers because he kept her so drugged up she couldn't attend court. Now he's still hiring lawyers to try to keep her father from saving her life & expecting Britney to pay him for that. Sam Lutfi is a MONSTER.

I think K-fed should pay his own attorney fees too. SOUNDS LIKE ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO DESTROY HER & MAKE HER PAY TO GET IT TO HAPPEN. Mr. Spears is earning his money because he has a big job on his hands getting rid of the vultures & seeing that Britney gets well.

103. She deserves to pay this legal bill for K-Fed, since she's the one that kept dodging the depositions and kept dragging this fight out. It's only fair, had she done what she was supposed to, this wouldn't have gone on so long. It's the same when the man drags out the fight, you want to make it take forever, then you pay the legal fees. Fair is fair. I don't care if she was mentally ill or not, if so , her lawyers should have made a motion to change the dates of her depos instead of her just not showing up all the time. Personally as a person who has a mental illness, I'm glad to see her dad in charge. He doesn't seem to be taking advantage of her, he's even said he'd be happy to turn the reins over to her if she's better sooner than they have planned. It's about time someone who loves the girl steps in and takes control. Look at all the good that's happened since he stepped in. Brit is seeing her kids again, she's getting therapy and is looking so much better. Good luck Brit, I'm not a fan, but I understand what you're going through and am happy to see you getting the help you need. Stay strong.

104. Llawyers of the caliber in this case, and in LA, probably charge $800-$1000+ an hour and they would double that if they have to appear in court. Rememebr they have staff and operating expenses they have to pay for also and still make a profit for themslves - we do live in a cpaitlistic society - not that I agree with all the money they always make, but I don't like what Oil Exeuctives make either. With all the times that Britney's lawyers have called court dates, depostiions, and etc. of which she didn't show up I am sure the charges grew quite quickly. This isn't some simple custody case. This is a celebrity custody case and the one that is causing all the delays and do over has been Britney herself - not Kfed. he was fine with the customdy arrangement the way it was until she started acting erratically - was he not supposed to fight for the children?

What most of you don't understand is that the law has always allowed for the one that makes less money and who is not causing all the court dates to have their attorney fees paid - this is not a new revelation, and since she is so wealthy he is allowed to hire an attorney at the same caliber so that he has as equal a chance in court. He is only getting $15k a month in child support, considering her income that is not much and he has not asked for more. Look at what some of the other big celebrities pay in child support. Are her children ot worthy of a lifestyle at both homes that she has in hers? That is why there is child support, because they are worthy of living the same lifestyle in both homes regardless of the one with less salary being able to provide it. That is just the way it is - and it has been like that for years and years - you jsut don't usually hear about it because there are not that many high profile custody cases tha tare aired in the open like this one.

Kfed deserves to have Britney pay for his attorney fees, she caused him to have them in the first place with her antics. The girl ahs to at some point start being responsible for her actions, she is an adult.

105. Of Course Britney made the situation worse with her behavior and should be held liable for legal fees incurred by her behavior, but come on this isn't pulling some wild number out of a hat. Why is she liable for 100% of the Bills? Was it not Kevin who hired Kaplan? Where there is a bill, there is accounting. And at this point The Conservators need to demand a full accounting of the bills, to determine where the padding is taking place. Why exactly should Briney need to cover the cost of a Publicist for the opposing councel? It is not a question of if she can afford it, it s a question of professional ethics. And it seams that these lawyers have none.
