A report online says that Britney Spears has been receiving threatening letters and packages and took them to the authorties -- but we're hearing differently.
E! News is saying that things with Brit have gotten so bad, they turned over the evidence to the LAPD and the FBI. But when TMZ called the LAPD yesterday and again this morning, a spokeswoman told us they had "no recent reports of any threats."
It's SOP at the FBI not to comment on an ongoing investigation.

It's meaning has been lost, it means a unionized coal miner from 100 years ago when they fought they were proud and multi ethnical, they put a red bandana around their necks to identify themselves. You need more History channel. As for Brtiney Spears, this is so real it is beyond fake. This current form of human are theee most vicious in history! People kill now for less than nothing and it is soo easy to harm someone and get away with it. When there are so many people around her all the time. She needs to invest into a bullet proof wardrobe and little ones for her kids, they will be targets too. It is a sad reality for her. Money is the root of all evil. Poor people have nothng but we are happy! And she can't even leave the country and go to Mambia like Angie did. She is being held prisoner in her own country. May God and some laws help protect this woman and her family, this is a reality show unscripted. She cannot possibly like this attention, this should make history, but unfortunately laws are enacte AFTER someone gets killed and then named after them!!! And yes, I do remember poor Rebecca, but regular folks have stalkers too, but regular folks get Protection From Abuse orders charged against them. 53. Just about every celebrity receives hate mail, especially those who make a point to thrust themselves in front of the press as much as Britney has done. It comes with being a public figure. Therefore, this is a gargantuan non-issue.
It's very unlikely that Sam or any other major Britney hangers-on are behind these letters and packages. With all the scrutiny on Britney these days, things would not go well for them if they were found out to be the senders.
It's much more likely that it's just random members of the public who are doing this.
I for one am glad that idiotic stories like these are the best things that the gossip press have been able to come up with about Britney lately. It means that Papa Spears is continuing to be reasonably successful at keeping Britney from whoring herself in front of the press. The "leave Britney alone" cult should be happy.
