Horton Hears an Abortion Protest

376. I got pregnant when I was 14 years old. I told my parents and they said that I had to get an abortion. Everywhere I turned, I heard abortion, abortion, abortion.. So, I went to Planned Parenthood and they told me it was simple procedure and it was no big deal. I was only 14 and I just went along with what I was being told. I had the abortion and it didn't really hit me until around the time I would be close to giving birth, had I kept the baby. I was awakened in the middle of the night, sweating, freaking out and hysterically crying. I ran to my parents bedroom, flung open the door and threw myself on the floor crying, "I killed my baby! I killed my baby!!" I came to the realization that I had killed my child. That may have been the only child I ever had and I killed it. It broke my heart that nobody was a voice for my baby. Nobody said, "It's a baby." At that time in my life,the only voice I heard was the voice of abortion. I want to be the voice that my baby never had. A voice for the voiceless. I know my baby wanted to live. My baby would be 18 now if I didn't murder him/her. I want to let people know that it is a baby. At the point of conception.

377. Abortion seems to be the hot button of the day, and by all rights it should be. The bottom line is ,every time a woman has an abortion it is killing an exsisting human being. Abortion is murder. It is as simple as that. Now you can put blinders on and come up with every excuse in the book, but it is what it is.If you watch the news every time a pregnant woman is murdered the killer gets charged with two murders, case in point Lacey Peterson ,why is that? That same woman can go into an abortion clinic the same month in her pregnacy and have an abortion and thats OK. I don't get it . Can some one explain that one to me. Abortion is murder you can sugar coat it anyway you want. Its as simple as that.

Alicia- thanks for your story. who knows it may help some girl out there. i am sure my parents would have done the same thing because they would think it would "protect" me. when really it would of given me something negative to think about the rest of my life. you know, i can't think of anyone that says "i really wish i would of had an abortion" I CAN think of many women that says "i regret it"

380. Nothing aggravates me more than when people dehumanize unborn babies. You can call an unborn baby a clump of cells, a parasite, a bloodclot, etc..., call her what you want, but it will not change the reality of what she is- a living, biologically growing member of the human race. It's not a potential life or a potential human being, it is a life and it is a human being!You cannot deny the humanity of an unborn human baby as two human parents cannot create anything other than a human being. Most importantly, by the time a woman even learns she is pregnant, her baby already has a beating heart, distinguishable human features and brain waves!
While I believe that unborn human babies are deserving of our protection, I find this type of protest to be silly and ineffective! Pro-life protesters should focus their energy elsewhere- keep others children out of this adult debate.

382. I think this is very sad that they did this to a children's movie. That was not the time or the place! PERIOD. I am 33 years old. I have had 2 abortions. I have 2 beautiful boys who are now 4 and 2.5 years old who were PLANNED. I have a wonderful husband who is the one that got me pregnant all 4 times. We have a wonderful house and life. We could not have had all of this if I had given birth to the first pregnancy rather than terminated. The abortion saved my relationship at the time. Btw, I have also donated my eggs to infertile couples and 2 families now have babies because of me and my eggs. I don't regret any of my decisions. I did what was best for me, my husband, and my 2 beautiful baby boys.

385. first of all, these "protestors" only wore red tape on their mouths saying "life." how is this something that shouldn't be seen by children?? oh no honey, don't look at the people with tape on their mouths, you'll be scarred for life. this is why there were no pictures, no signs, anything of the sort. and truthfully, it wasn't like they were screaming or chanting in anyway. if you didn't want to know why they were there, then you just simply didn't have to look at them.

after all, a person is a person, no matter how small...

I was just wonder something. What is more important to you, your wonderful house or your two boys? Money or children?
I would rather be poor and have my children, than have to kill my children to have a nice house. It is sad today that many people think that money and stuff is more important than their own childrens' lives. People plan pregnancy and if by chance they get a baby they were not expecting, they kill it and say, "Oh, we didn't plan this." The baby would have gotten in the way of their pursuit of the so-called American Dream. The nice house, nice car, but what about your own children? What about the baby that was growing inside of you? Those babies were depending on your for life and you terminated their lives for your own selfish gain. What about their right to pursue the American Dream? When will we stop thinking our children are a burden or a mistake, and realize that they are a blessing and a heritage from the Lord.

The best noise I ever heard in my life was that little heart beating in my womb.....If you choose to do the steps in order to create a life--- then at least give that sweet little life a chance.... There are better choices. Adoption is not the easy way out--- it takes real guts and unselfishness... Thank God my cousins' biological mothers chose to give them a chance...Many lives have been blessed because those women's unselfishness, and I'm sure that many lives have been blessed because of all of YOUR mothers chose to give you life. Again...abortion stops a beating heart--- sounds like murder to me.

390. You see a woman throwing her baby out the window of a 6 story building because she dosen't want it. Is that ok? In or out of the uterus it's the same child! Why is that so hard to comprehend????? Those of you here who have had abortions..I feel sorry for you but there is forgiveness!! Change your heart and at least support saving the lives of other unborn children.

This is clearly pro choice propeganda!! The kids with the red tape are Bound4LIFE and it's a cause to save lives. You make them out to be something bad to further your own personal views.
The story behind this movie was written long before the lies and greed of abortion infiltrated this country but i'm sure Dr Suess if he were alive would be marching with the red tape on his mouth too.
