Britney's About to "Meet My Mother"

TMZ has learned that Britney Spears is prepping for a small guest part on CBS's hit "How I Met Your Mother."

Our sources tell us that Brit's agent Jason Trawick from William Morris made the deal with producers on the show. One source called it "a small legitimate project that will keep her busy doing something." We're told it's not long term and her dad -- her conservator -- is down with it and has signed off.

Pink is the New Blog, who first reported the story, says Brit Brit is scheduled to appear on an upcoming episode. TMZ caught her arriving at the FOX lot.

"How I Met Your Mother" is a CBS show produced by FOX. The show is "on the bubble" a biz term for getting 86'd and producers think this is just the gimmick they need.

A source on the show tells TMZ the critical darling is not about to be canceled and is returning to the air next Monday.

Morris and he will get a fee for this, Pa will be able to add money to the coffers to assure his pay and maybe a bill or 2, anybody wonder why she's to nuts to go to court but can be taken to dance rehearsals, meetings, papa dinner dates, clothes shopping, and now an appearance on a TV show...............money, money, monnnnnnnnnnnnnnney........I've said it before and I'll say it again, she's just a meal ticket to all these people!!!!! If these people want to do something why don't they help kdeadbeat find a job, have her in court and show her she can fight the custody problems, and start taking some control over her life..................BECAUSE IF SHE DOES ALL THAT THEN THEIR MONEY TRAIN MAY JUST GO BYE BYE......................say what you want about Sammy, he didn't throw her out on a job while she was on meltdown........Good luck Britney I hope you get through the gig just fine, but don't expect the paps and rag mags to be kind.....you need to understand they help build up people with talent and then the first chance they get they try to send those same people through a shredder......ignore them.

36. No one watches the show to begin with. She will not HELP the show, other than to bring a bunch of bloggers something to watch to make fun of. I, for one, will believe it when I see it. How can she possibly function or even show up there for that matter. And, who knows just how pregnant she may be by then. When will this saga end?????

45. I can not understand why people are still being so cruel to Britney, SHE HAS AN ILLNESS people (as what has been reported). Would you say these horrible things about people with M.S. or cancer? Would you be leaving these horrible things about Patrick Sawazie? From what is being reported Britney has a menatl illness, it is not that she is just being a spoiled brat she is sick and she deservees the compassion that you would show anyone else that is sick. Part of this illness is PROBABLY exhaustion, she is probably exhaused carrying everyone to a totally new tax bracket, her Dad the attorneys, K-Fed. Of course her Dad is going to OK the TV show he needs her to continue paying his bills. A parent should not accept money for being a parent and taking care of their children, no matter the age. The night Britney was held up in her bathroom with her child was her trying to hang onto the last person that wasn't out to take from her the person that loved her for her and not her money and she knew people were trying to take the babies too, for more money probably well as we all see. She was also, from what we are being told, drugged, so how can people blame her for that as well. I feel very sorry for Britney, this is not her fault. We hve to stop blaming her we don't blame Patrik Sawazie for having cancer or others for their illnesses ,how can you blame her for her mental illness?
