Did "Top Model" Troop Trash Tribeca Loft?

The bitchy beauties of "America's Next Top Model" made a pricey Manhattan loft their personal romper room, according to a new report, causing $500K in damage -- and supposedly reneging on a $125K settlement deal.

TMZ just spoke to two residents of 39 Lispenard Street, and they confirmed that the place was "trashed," and that the management company has had "serious" problems with their not-so-model neighbors.

Earlier, the New York Post reported that the 14 girls splattered "ketchup and coffee" all over the walls, damaged a $15,000 chandelier "beyond repair" and caused $90,000 of damage to a store below. What's more, according to the Post, the crew "punched hundreds of holes in the ceiling" and tore up the Brazilian wood floors.

TMZ tried to contact the landlord, Michael Marvisi, who's threatening to sue, but he couldn't be reached. We also called the CW and Tyra Banks' rep, but they had no comment.

16. Having lived at the Waldorf-Astoria for a few months, I agree that there is nothing worse that living in the midst of super-model wanna bes. My stay coincided with fashion week and that was the worse of it. Sure it was nice eye-candy to have around, the weird thing was that the "old" 22yr olds teaching the 14-15yr old new girls how to act like whores. In the elevator rides they would not have the decency of keeping quiet, but instead would be sharing tips on how to sniff drugs, take shots, describe all sorts of raunchy acts, and it seemed half of it was done to get a kick out of the other guests. I finally asked to be moved to the Towers when one night the girls started running and screaming down the hall way on their teddys because apparently the guy models had stated some sort of fight.

It was a lot like ridding the bus in the gettho full of black kids...

17. Tyra always chooses trashy young girls to be contestants on that show. They never grew up in respectable surroundings, so how do they know how to act or behave in nice environments or towards nice possessions? Tyra, dear, you can't make silk purses out of sows' ears.

18. I watch top model all the time and have watched it from the very beginning. I have never seen such nasty, lazy, inconsiderate girls in my life. If their parents taught them responsibility and how to respect other people property, their rooms would not appear so filthy. Eating on the beds, weave lying everywhere, trash, food containers, call me a devo but i hate a filthy place. They should get their money back and stop putting those trashy females in such nice places.

19. To esby77...My feelings exactly, I couldn't have said it better myself. I watch ANTM sometimes and I believe the girls that are selected are carefully chosen because they all have conflicting personalities and tend to be catty backstabbers with questionable housekeeping skills. Without all the negative conflict among the girls and the put downs from the 'judges' and day to day challenges to 'out do each other' no one would watch. But, these people are adults and since the producers of the show obviously don't have a set of ground rules in place for their contestants and these girls don't have a clue as to how people behave in the real world and respect other people's property/businesses, the producers should be held accountable and pay up with 'no questions asked' for the damages done. Maybe they need a chapperone, house mother, security or someone watching them to insure they don't destroy someone else's property in the furure. How pathetic!!!

20. I just found out that this story was a bit exaggerated. One of my girlfriends knows someone on the show and they said it was being blown all out of proportion. Apparently what happened was that there was some coffee and ketchup spilled not on the walls but on the dining room table which no one bothered to clean up and then they just left. It is funny how people will believe anything outrageous. Now just the other day did you hear about...

21. I think you mean to use the word "troupe" in the title - "troop" really only refers to groups of soldiers/boyscouts/etc., "troupe" should be used for a group of actors/dancers/models/creative-types..... Hope that helps!

re: the content - who really cares if they trashed an apartment? I'm sure Tyra will pay to fix everything, and she shouldn't have to babysit both her crew and the girls 24/7.

22. Its sad to see that they were given an opportunity like this that ALOT of well deserving woman do deserve and because they think they are better than everyone else it gives them the right to destroy other peoples property.....and then go figure it would happen when they decide to tape in new york. Personally I dont like this season....and the last season was very blah to......dont these "stars" realize that after a while these reality shows lose there "ummmph"

27. Well why would they put so much money into a room that barely gets filmed?
Kind of a bad move there.

28. So help me understand where the "crew" was when all this was happening. Aren't the cameras running 24/7? If so and they didn't step in then isn't Banks productions responsible? Or did they just "let" it happen for the publicity? I love Tyra and the show. I also think the show should show some behind the scenes with the judges to even things out as well. Like what are they doing during the days the girls are doing their shoots? What are their jobs like in the "industry"?

29. Well, well....as a landlord (unlike popular opinion we are not all greedy, rich, out to screw our tenants) let me say that this kind of behavior is not exclusive to top models and rock stars. Seemingly normal middle income people also trash property when it isn't theirs...luckily not all the time or we would all be going under trying to keep up. Too bad there wasn't some 'babysitting' going on...seems like a logical thing for Tyra & company to do when they are responsible for the show and the models lodging. Some kind of 'models', huh?

30. this just goes to prove tv shows like this should not be put on air. its a privelag to be on these shows and these girls should all be thrown off the show cancel the darn season!! put something that we all know wont cause this much damage to were they go and expect to pay the full price of there folly if it actually does occur. come on tyra get real girl dont make these girls think its ok to trash a room and get away with basically a slap on the rist.
