Eight is Enough for The Game

The Game is out of jail after serving just eight days out of a possible 60, TMZ has just learned.

The rapper -- real name Jayceon Taylor -- walked out of Twin Towers Correctional Facility, according to his lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, after serving less than a fifth of his sentence for pleading no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone.

Steve Whitmore, L.A. County Sheriff's Department spokesperson, tells us The Game was released early due to overcrowding.

16. The Game was transfered this morning to an unkown prison & was NOT released from jail. He is scheduled to be released early April.

18. This is common. The media makes such a big deal over it. "Story developing.."? You do understand the California state budget deficit? You do know how overcrowded jails already are? You do know that California prisons are currently under federal monitoring for "cruel and unusual punishment," because of a lack of resources to properly sustain the inmate population? Entertainment media is so irresponsible. You deliberately cause controversy by reporting lopsided stories.

19. Give it a rest already!! Everyone complains about celebrities getting special treatment and being released early but what all you whiners seem to miss is this happens to EVERYBODY going through Twin Towers in LA! Just go and see how many of these annoying Mexican gangbangers are back out on the street barely a week after being locked up! Folks have been complaining about these early release waaaaay before Paris, Lindsay etc brought attention to them, so quit bitchin about special treatment and color this and that - it is what it is! Deal!
