Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Heather Locklear's psychiatrist is the one who called 911, after speaking with her on the phone.
We're told the shrink spoke with Heather on Saturday night and was alarmed because she was "upset" and he believed she might OD on medication prescribed for depression. The call was listed with dispatch as a "suicide attempt."
We're told when paramedics arrived, Heather was OK and it was a false alarm.

Celebrity is the 21st century circus....under the bigtop of hollywood we are tantalized by larger than life performers, clowning around, battles between man and all kinds of beasts, and side show freaks, No matter which one of those you are, when you perform in the circus, it is to the crowd...and we delight in it.
This story...if true...is different than what we are accustomed to...this is not Paris, Britney, or Lindsay parading around well-chosen hot spots in town and acting outrageous to the flashing paps. This is a moment of an episode that if happened to us, would be traumatic and humiliating enough. Imagine having to know it is now being beamed around the world.
Intense, but the reality is this....when you join the circus, you're in the show!!!

58. She always looked like Tweety bird to me... but yah, guys were totally hot for her back in the day-=-always the blonde thing which I don't get, esp. when they're fake.. Must be tough for these models, actresses once they start nearing 40 and onwards, since the most important thing was their looks & when that starts going, well many start going mad-that's for sure. They need to learn to quietly fade away into the woodwork like many of the old-fashioned sex symbols used to do, live real lives, do something for worthy causes rather than worshipping the beauty god, and learn that beauty is only skin deep!
