50. I'm thrilled there are so many Madonna haters here questioning why she's in the Rock and Roll HOF. She's a no talent whore that lowered the standards for music and changed the formulas for success from beinga g ood singer and song writer into a sex machine that gyrates and thrusts for 11 year old boys.

Because of Madonna, we now have no talents like Britney and all the rest in pop culture. Madonna RUINED music.

My take though, is a little more like #40 Lenn K................. but my take adds this twist. I hate so much about her, I could go on and on. She's really a hatable person, and I see I'm not alone as I read. My only point, in crazily saying she deserves it... is that I truly feel like she paved the way for so many other performers that have come after her. I think every rotten thing about her. Her voice sucks, she's skank-a-rific, obviously NOT ROCK. Yet, I'm torn too, because I don't think every other person inducted is technically "rock." I think she really was revolutionary to the industry of music, and an innovator at the time and a definite icon. As fake and ridiculously untalented as she is... I almost think it would be an injustice if she weren't.

59. This is an TRAVESTY; I repeat, this is a TRAVESTY. Ma-WHORE-a standing side by side with The Ramones, Led Zepplin & Black Sabbath? ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. She's laughable; she's never been a rock & roller, she's known for singing her little sugary pop songs (not in concert; she LIP SYNCHS in concert), doing her stupid choreographed dances & changing her hair style. She doesn't play an instrument with any kind of skill, she doesn't arrange or write music, and she sucks as a singer. The friggin' Monkees & the Partridge Family are more rock than her. The Rock & Roll HOF has lost all credibility with this induction, and are now a total joke.

60. Madonna should be in the stripper hall of fame, the table dancer hall of fame, the media hound hall of fame....but not this. First, she has never recorded rock 'n' roll in her life. Second, ALL her notoriety never came from any artistic merit (such as Buddy Holly, Little Richard, Creedence, Beatles,etc)......she was and is the queen of shock value. She's the John Waters of music but w/ less entertainment value. Nope...she should not be there.....no merits.
