Mary Ann -- More Like Mary Jane!!

Dawn Wells, the actress that played Mary Ann on "Gilligan's Island," was busted with marijuana in her car after driving home from her birthday party in Idaho -- and she's 69!

Wells was pulled over on October 18 after a Teton County sheriff noticed her swerve across the center lines of State Highway 33 and repeatedly speeding up and slowing down. A search produced four half-smoked joints and two small cases to store marijuana -- which she blamed on hitchhikers. Even Gilligan wouldn't buy that one!

Wells is now serving a three hour tour six months of unsupervised probation for the crime. She pleaded guilty to one count of reckless driving and was sentenced last month to five days in jail, fined $410.50 and placed on probation.

211. This is a waste of tax-payer $money$. Weed should not be illegal. Especially for medicinal purposes!

"This plant used to be legal in this country, and was legal during the writing of our Constitution and Declaration of Independence and all during the time of our forefathers, and even in the first part of the 20th century. They were wise enough and righteous enough not to ban a plant from men." Zeb

Funny, since it didn't arrive in this country until the first World's Fair held here, as a gift from India. Crack a history book whilst you're toking up.

214. Decriminalize marijuana! Our jails are so full of harmless pot-smokers that murderers and rapists run free.

Shame on all you ignorant sheep who think Dawn Wells has actually done something wrong.

215. TODD you are a moron caught up in your own self righteousness. Show me some real scientific facts that pot is 100% more dangerous then cigarettes ? Just something you and all the so call self righteousness put out there and hope it sticks...
That's BS and you know it... Most of my friends who only smoke pot, no chemicals, hold down very good jobs are very intellectual and have plenty of drive and ambitions.

219. I think all drugs should be legalized. They wouldn't be nearly as interesting if you could just go buy em. And think of the taxes they would bring in!!!

Hemp dating back to at least 400 BC has been discovered in America.

And farmers were growing hemp in America at least in the 1600's, long before the Constitution or the Declaration of Independence,

And besides, I didn't say it was in the country (but which it was), I said it was legal in the country. There was no law against bringing it to America or having it in America or growing it in America, etc.

Crack a book on learning how to read.

And I don't "toke up." As I said, I don't use the stuff.

222. "216. Why, in this day and age is marijuana still illegal and a Schedule I drug by the federal gv't??? Our gv't spends more $$ on fighting marijuana than any other drug, it's ridiculous. Now we have a bunch of teens addicted to Rx drugs that are more harmful and chemically addictive than weed.

Because of powerful drug cartels making billions off of drugs like hemp being illegal.

If hemp was legal, it would be free, 'cause people would just grow their own, and it would put a lot of rich drug suppliers and corrupt government officials out of the illegal drug business.

Just like the government of England was the principle opium dealer for centuries, so also are governments involved in the illegal drug trade today. Most of the government talk against it is just hype and cover, just like the former governor of New York's hype against crime and so forth but now he's been found out to be a criminal himself.

This is hows the real world works. It's full of fake, corrupt politicians and others in positions of authority.
