Pat O'Brien Out of Rehab - Into Junk Food

Pat O'Brien is out of rehab, but execs at "The Insider" are mum about his future.

Our spies spotted POB at Gelson's market in Pacific Palisades last Saturday. He looked painfully, painfully thin with sunburned skin -- "bordering on scorched" we're told. He loaded up on at least ten cans of Pringles and a bunch of bags of M&M's. At one point he was at the deli waiting for his number to be called, when a woman recognized him and started the whole "Oh my God," thing. Pat wanted no part of it and just bailed. Guess he didn't find it "so f***in' hot."

We called "The Insider" to find out if POB is coming back. A spokesperson told TMZ, "At this time Pat O'Brien is focused on his recovery and it's inappropriate to comment on rumors about the show."

47. I met this man 30 years ago when he was a general assignment reporter for an NBC Station in Chicago. He was arrogrant, pompous, constantly primping himself, rude, demanding and all adjectives associated with ego centric.

He than moved to Sports on a national basis and ultimately to the Entertainment side on ET with a lucrative gig. He did well for himself career wise. But emotionally, spiritualy and personaly I would venture to say he has failed himself.

Drugs, Booze, Sex addictions...they are the outward signs of the inner demons and struggles. Is it any wonder he looks haggard and aged beyond his years?

I wish the man well but I am not sure he ever wished anyone else well,along the way of life.

48. Leave The POB alone...He had a good run on the TV show I hardly know or watch..He made lots of money and what a drag..He interviewed movie people...He was not a happy man doing so or why did he DRINK so much..The Money I guess..another meaningless tmz story like all the rest

52. I wish Pat O'Brien the best, but can't help thinking how hypocritical, that he makes a living at following people around and asking personal questions, yet, when somebody recognizes him, he runs like a coward. Remember that the next time, Pat.

54. If people don't figure out how to live happy and peaceful lives by the time they reach their senior years, then they will most likely die sad and angry, for that is all they know. Pat fills these shoes well. His world revolves around his life and the word of God is non existent. That is the definition of Sad. He kind of looks like Richard Petty, doesn't he?

55. One time Pat said on the show about a celebrity who went into rehab "well you know what that makes him, it makes him a hero". I thought you old coot, you are really trying to talk about yourself Pat - hear this - "rehab doesn't make anyone and that inclues you a HERO. All it means is the drunk/addict is in rehab. Nothing more". You are a loser Pat. Lara deserves a medal just for having to stand next to you.

58. I used to be addicted to celebrity blogs like TMZ and PerezHilton but seriously it's just not even fun anymore. Imagine if YOUR dirty laundry was aired to the public for entertainment. All in all we're the same. Cave people looking for status...then when we get it, it's so much fun for the 'tribe' to tear you down. Humans are really sick beasts.

59. Pat O'Brien is old, gross and I don't know how he ever got that job. He is not "hip" or happening and looks like a turkey-neck geser. Lara is a climber and the fake smiles and elevated tonality of thier voices is nauseating to the extreme.
Oh, and pringles and m&ms spell: still in trouble. Serious dope-smoking munchies, man.
