The 54-year-old resurfaced at a theater event in NYC on Monday, looking shabby chic.
Prior to "Amadeus," Tom starred as Pinto in "Animal House" and bared it all on stage in "Equus" -- the same play Daniel Radcliffe stripped off his Hogwarts uniform in last year.
Tom is a producer of the Tony award-winning Broadway musical, "Spring Awakening."

He's given us many stellar performances over the years most notable is his performance of a mentally challenged man in the movie, "Dominic and Eugene," co-starring Ray Liotta and Jamie Leigh-Curtis. He should have received an Oscar along for that performance.
Without the hair (on his head) he would look like David Crosby.
WHY?????? Why would you ruin that for me? I'm so very sad. :....(
TMZ may memba him as Amadeus, but he'll always be Pinto from Animal House to me.
I'm with you Stripper, I think a man with a little weight on him is sexy too! I still love the long scraggly hair!
Oh, yup...he was my big crush way back when...I absolutely loved him (and everyone else) in Parenthood. I don't think he looks mad, maybe tired. Rock me Amedeus!!!
Whatever he looks like, we will all be at the mercy of the "beauty is only skin deep" gods when WE TURN 54, so dont be so damn critical. The main thing---he is an AMAZING actor, and made the movie Amadeus what it was. That movie is still one of my favourite movies of all time. Whether you like music or not, that story of his life is amazingly produced and very entertaining.
I remember him in Animal House. Those were some handsome days in his career. Anyone remember Nick Heyward from Haircut 100? They looked like brothers during the early 80's.
Lose that scruffy beard, Tom, and you will look a little more like Wolfie Mozart.
