Britney Green Lit By TV Cast; Shunned by Alicia

Sources connected to the TV show "How I Met Your Mother" tell TMZ the cast members were told Britney wouldn't be on the show unless they said it was ok. They met with her and they liked her -- they really, really liked her!

We're told the entire group of actors approved Brit. She was, as one of them put it, "laid back and collected."

We're told Brit will play the receptionist for Ted, Josh Radner's character. But that wasn't the original plan. Alicia Silverstone was supposed to go on the show and Britney was then asked to play her receptionist, but Alicia didn't want to be upstaged and refused to play ball. Unclear if Alicia has backed out altogether.

20. Britney has mental problems (bipolar disorder) that will make it appear Alicia is trying to help a mental case, in which case Alicia's show will bomb in ratings.

Britney has to help herself before someone else helps her. - The same old Britney as usual. Once Britney gets back to acting, she will do something stupid, and send everybody's career in the toilet.

21. Alicia did the right thing. Anybody in their right mind would boycott anything Britney Spears does. Obviously this show is trying to get some ratings, because we all know Britney Spears can't act. She is a nutcase this show is exploiting for their own selfish reasons. The last thing this nutcase needs is to be back in show business. STOP giving this dumb broad attention and money! She got rid of her kids, people! She is a puke! STOP idolizing an empty headed moron! As Americans we look so stupid to other countries with this obsession over a twit!

23. I agree with Casey. She did snub Elizabeth on "The View." Very snarky and rude of her. And who does she think she is. I hope she never gets invited back to The View. Yep, she sided w/Rosie so let her go on Rosie's show. Oh wait, Rosie Odonnell doesn't have a show.

24. Aaaack. Alicia Silverston probably has NO problem whatsoever with
Spears appearing. That's just not like her, and it would surprise me
if it were true. Something else could be up, or nothing at all, IMHO.

I saw that, and it was very tasteless thing for Alicia to do. So Elizabeth didnt agree with Rosie, big deal, it was no reason to snub her like she did. Very low class Alicia.

30. When Alicia Silverstone was in Clueless, the director was amazed at the stupid things she would say on the set, how ignorant she really was. He told the cameraman to keep filming and kept in her natural stupidity. So a lot of what looks like written lines in Clueless is Alicia's natural state of not having a clue.

She doesn't want to be upstaged by Britney, wants all the limelight for herself. Not a team player, apparently. She feeds her dogs vegetarian diets, because, you know, dogs are naturally vegetarians in the wild. For dog political reasons, of course.

I like the way that Britney came into this tv show, with the cast meeting her and approving of her being on the show. This is a good thing.
