16. Who's handicap plate is that in pic 17? It's the paper type you hang from your rearview mirror. Was Nick taking parking spots from the handicap?

18. #16 Completely Disgusted - I will have to agree with you. I feel so bad for John's family! Whew!

19. Nick did nothing wrong!! Maybe the friend should not have been in the car with Nick knowing how Nick drives. He alone is responsible for his actions not the actions of others....

20. Completely disgusted ... you wouldn't be chosen for the jury. It sounds like you've been completely disgusted for years, after working where you worked. Your opinion seems very biased.

I have trouble feeling sympathy for John Graziano. He was a grown man in a car with a boy. He should have known better. He chose to participate, and had to of known the risks. Again, Nick should be punished, but people wanting to condemn the boy to years in prison has completely disgusted me. It seems rich white boys suffer from discrimination as well!

What would a 23 year old man be doing hanging out with a 17 year old boy any way?

21. 5 years in jail?? Yeah, right. He'll get 5 days of community service and be free. Meanwhile his friend is a nearly brain dead. Some justice would be nice, but he's a "celebrity", and he'll walk. Unfortunately, his friend won't.

22. Wreckless driving and endangerment of others is a felony and should be treated as such, regardless of who they are or how bad they might feel about the other, more severe consequences of their actions.

Perhaps John should have known better than to be in the car, but that does not erase the crime that was commited by Nick.

23. What I would like to know, from looking at the photos, was Nick not hurt at all in this wreck? You know that is usually the way it goes, the fool diving out of control is the one that will walk away without a scratch. I hope they don't just let him continue to walk.

24. Let's also not forget that if John Graziano hadn't been comatose, he would have been arrested ... contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and probably some kind of wreckless endangerment of a minor. He was the adult, and therefor responsible in the eys of the law.

25. If he had contributed by giving a minor alcohol, then yes he should have ALSO been arrested. All parties involved in the mess should be held accountable. However, I don't know if he did give Nick alcohol or not.

Being under the age of 18 does not make you immune to the law. It just makes it possible for your record to be wiped clean and for the sentence to be lighter than when you become 18.

26. Nick is an idiot. I remember stories from the family saying that nick wasn't driving that fast. Yeah right. You don't destroy your Supra at 30 mph speeds. What makes it even worse is that he got a professional drift license. He should have some skill to drive cars. But then again, he was being a teenager, probably wanted to show off his skills for John and lost control Nick loses control a lot on the drift courses too. Just do a search on youtube, you will find lots of his crashes into concrete walls.

30. When I was in High School, just before Prom and Homecoming, the police would drag in a car that looked just like this to remind us what happens when we drink and drive. They should drag what's left of this car around to high schools and show those kids what happends when you street race.
