David Hernandez: No Hard Feelings, TMZ!

The publicity gained from being a former male stripper is priceless -- and "Idol" reject David Hernandez is happy to be milking it!

As TMZ first reported, major publishers have already started writing songs specifically for Hernandez, regardless of being booted from the competition.

16. 4. PS: A thousand times over, what's the deal with FIRST?

PLEASE TMZ, delete these idiots.

Thank you, Josh. I would also like to know what the big deal is about posting FIRST! I just dont get it. Who are these people who do that? They sound like little kids. It's stupid, pointless, and annoying.

17. David Hernandez didn't wow me....his moments were over done, and the voice is mediocre. And Simon was right; this show is not a popularity contest...
The first posters annoy everyone; but to mention them at all...it creates another sick notion that posting first is accomplishing something?

18. Thank God! America voted David off! These sleazy people with sleazy backgrounds, Im gay ,Im not, Im gay, Im not, he is as queer as a three dollar bill, I've seen him with his tounge down guys throats twice his age and getting plenty of money stuffed in his g string or the crack of his ass to make it worth his time. He is an average singer who is good looking and has a nice body and he is using it for all its worth,,, all style and no substance, I would never buy anything he put out.

Idol needs to start doing background checks on the people they are letting on the show, who wants some man whore as the American Idol, we sure have lowered the standards since season 1. The show is really getting old and starting to suck.

I'm sure David will find an escort or stripping job someplace. Look for his new personal ad in the Phoenix gay rags, rent a night with an Idol wanna-be... what a player. Gross

19. It's okay to be gay

Posted at 1:42PM on Mar 13th 2008 by Huckbilly

20. okay to be gay? has nothing to do with being talented...and that lifestyle is a most difficult one to live. The pain and suffereing associated with AIDS is unbelievable...especially if your sufferer is aloved one. can't agree

21. pecklesnooch: I don't think he was voted off for being too feminine, I think he was voted off because, even though he had basically been outed and he looked totally gay, he couldn't just be out on the show. He could have turned it into an event that they, for the first time, had an openly gay guy as a finalist on AI. Instead, he tried to pose as straight on the show even when it was totally obvious that he was gay. Also, it's ironic that you criticize them for having a double standard when you obviously have one when it comes to sexual orientation.

I think he had a hard time connecting with people because it seemed like he couldn't really just be himself, and he also came across as arrogant.

He does have a very nice body, though.

22. Chris: Believe it or not the gay thing wasn't a big deal to me. I actually preferred the more feminine Danny Noriega. At least he was honest. Danny was also pretty funny and made some wiity comments that made him more endearing. Hernandez was just to much a phony and arrogant. The sissy . posing faces he made, just made it more annoying brecause he was pretending to be something else but his inner girl just came out. You can be homosexual and still act like the sex you were born. In Danny' Norieaga's case that was nearly impossible, but at leadt he seemed sweet and was fun.
I hear you point and it's noted. Sorry if I offended anyone

23. I'm sorry (actually not) but this guy is not all that terrific not even close. I'm sure there are people who will buy any record put out by any American Idol wanna be BUT like Simon says (ha! funny...) this should be a talent contest not a popularity contest and David H. just doesn't have the voice. Then again, look at Bob Dylan.........

24. David H was by far the most talented vocally on the show. He got ripped off. I doubt I'll watch anymore as he was the only reason id did. YOu are wrong - he has a large fan base. There are many of us who love him and are anxiously awaiting him to put out a CD.

25. OMG thats all i want to do , make love to my hunny to some gay persons music ,, yuk think not..... excuse me while i go throw up .......

26. picklejuice, i mean pecklesmooch: I don't completely understand your standards. On one hand, you dislike David H because of his supposed effeminacy (he's not effeminite, even though he comes across as gay) and yet you like Danny specifically because he's effeminate. I do agree with what I think you're trying to say, which is that David H didn't connect with the audience or have a good personality because he couldn't just be out and Danny was more appealing because he went ahead and acted as gay as possible. I agree with the statement that he was trying to be something he wasn't, and Danny was better in that way. But I still don't understand why you apparently think David H was effeminate or too girly. He had a completely ordinary, bland personality and tried to pose as straight by singing songs about girls (like the one he got voted off with). You did maybe get the sense that he was desperately trying to hide being gay, and that in real life he would be more like Danny and that he couldn't successfully hide it, and I could see feeling like I prefer the one who didn't even try.

27. Don't care for him. However, it is (supposedly) a singing contest, so Kristy and Syesha should have gone before him. He was 2/4 in good performances, the other two 0/4.
