After the death of her husband in 2004, Barbara sold their once opulent house for $46 million and moved into a bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Barbara has five children. One of her grandchildren include Brandon Davis, the former boyfriend of Mischa Barton.

On of Barb's daughter also has Type 1. (FYI, On the "off year" from the Carousel of Hope in Hollywood (where anyone who is anyone in Hollywood attends, Barbara is in Denver hosting a similar event in Denver - we Coloradoans miss you, Barbara)
