Hernandez: From "Idol" Lockdown to Chow Down

Now that he's been booted from "Idol," David Hernandez can finally get some freedom -- and get his Mr. Chow on!

Record execs are trying to get a single written for the former stripper and fast, as TMZ first reported, which was news to David when our cameras got him last night.

16. David was one of the best vocals and owned the audience with his stage presence and charisma. It was a shame he was 'stripped' of votes so early on! Anyone saying (commenting here or elsewhere) he wasn't a very good singer, would have to be tone deaf, jealous or just plain ignorant! He consistently improved each week with outstanding performances (unlike several 'still standing') and he conducted himself like a gentleman with his gracious responses to Simon's idiotic remarks!
Simon is OBVIOUSLY NOT a musician! He always voices his comments after the other two judges because he really doesn't have a clue. David will be like the former A.I. contestant who won the Oscar for Dreamgirls (Jennifer)...the one Simon didn't think 'had it' and didn't think she could sing very well? David will, like her, be very successful and because he's the gentleman that he is, he'll 'thank' Simon for the opportunity he had on American Idol while giving his speech at the Grammy Awards. You GO DAVID. I think you're the REAL DEAL!
