Wrestler Jeff Hardy's House Burned to the Ground

3/15/2008 7:13 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

WWE star Jeff Hardy's home in Cameron, North Carolina burned to the ground last night -- the same week he was suspended for 60 days for failing his second drug test! He lost all his possessions, and his dog perished in the blaze.

According to legendary wrestling commentator Jim Ross' website, Hardy and his girlfriend were not home at the time. Jeff's brother, Matt, saw smoke coming from the home, but was too late to do anything about it. Jeff lived in a double-wide trailer.

The WWE has not yet released a statement.

I agree with you Stinger829. Why is everyone so convinced he had a meth lab in his house?? Am I missing something. They just said he was suspended for drugs that were not performance enhancing drugs...they never said what was found in his system. If I remember correctly he was addicted to painkillers after hurting himself. Wtf, give the man a break. Hes dealing with an addiction problem (not easy to just give up) and the loss of his home, his dog and all his wordly possessions. Such coldhearted people..

You know you all are heartless. I mean come on to speculte that he started the fire is risiclous. Everyone make mistakes and this can only make him stronger. This coming from someone who ha gone through a home fire and lost everything. You all should be ashamed of yourself

Guys, I live in North Carolina, and our news station is saying that it was a wildfire that burned about 100 acres of land. Don't think Jeff was the cause.

According to the update, he lived in actual house and there's no evidence of arson. So why is that TMZ thinks its cute to claim it was a trailer, their way of playing into stereotypes possibly? I guess it isn't really that shocking that the TMZ show is on the Fox network. Not only is Fox home of inaccurate world news, they also have a show that can't even get celebrity gossip right. Well at least they have the Simpsons...

OMG, he lived in a double-wide trailer?! How absolutely tacky. How much money does this guy make? And, he still insists on living like white trash? I feel badly that the dog didn't make it, though. =( Poor thing.
