123. Wow! I am amazed at how critical most of these comments are. How unforgiving and hateful people can be. So, which one of you that left a comment has never said an insult against someone of a different religion, race or gender? My guess would be none of you, including myself. 131. "The Passion" was NOT anti-Semitic. It was history. Jews were portrayed well in the film. Simon and Mary were protagonists. The Romans were portrayed horribly.
I don't think Mel was anti-Semitic at first. However, with all the unjustified hell he had to endure from Jewish groups because of his film, anger erupted from him. Anger of the unjustly accused that he kept under wraps until that fateful night.
