Celebrity Justice
Brit's Dad Selling Her Rides From Under Her

Britney SpearsBritney's conservators got the judge today to authorize them to sell some of Brit's cars. Thank God someone is trying to get her off the road!

Co-conservator Andrew Wallet made the request in court. The exact makes and models of the cars were not discussed in open court.

The judge also did what TMZ told you he'd do -- extended the restraining order against Sam Lutfi for another month

As we first reported, Lutfi agreed not to fight the restraining order and allow the extension. That means Lutfi must continue to stay 2 1/2 football fields away from the Britster and basically have no contact with her at all.

46. Has it occurred to any of you dumb***es who are crying foul that, perhaps, (1) the conservators know more about Britney's actual financial condition, and they are trying to salvage some value from her dwindling assets to avoid financial problems down the road, and (2) that Britney herself might have agreed to this and maybe even suggested it? Even if this is something Britney agrees to, the conservators still have to get court permission. Yeah, I figured that you haven't considered all the angles. Imbecils!!!!!!

47. Brit probably has a lot more money going out monthly than she has coming in. I doubt she has 700K a month revenue coming in to offset expenses. So it's probably a very good idea to reveiw her finances and cut her overhead down drastically. If they break the lease on the house she's in and move to the house she owns, that would be another good move and cut an additional 30K a month in expenses. For all we know she may not have any reveue at all coming in. There are no endorsments, profitable records etc.... Maybe that's why her dad's trying to get her some paying gigs also.

Well, let's think about this a minute. TMZ reports that the conservators asked to sell *some* of the cars. That implies, does it not, that not *all* of the cars will be sold. TMZ says the exact make and model of the cars to be sold was not discussed in open court. Hey, Soliz, didn't the conservators have the Audi and Mini towed to dealerships? And when is the last time Britney was spotted driving an Audi? How about Briteny driving a Mini? Okay, now think hard ..... I know it's painful ....... but what IF they are selling the Audi and the Mini, and keeping a few dozen of the Benz's that Brit was buying each month?

52. Selling assets is the easiest way to abuse a conservatorship. I wondered how long it would take before Jaime Spears started doing this. The state will never say that the assets were sold too cheaply, will never find any kickbacks. And if TMZ wants a story. follow the money. Find out if the buyers were Jaime Spears' drug dealers.

*************************************

And your authority for this is what? I think if you will read the case law about abuses of conservatorships, you will find that unscrupulous fiduciaries almost always use estate money to buy something and put it jointly in their own name and the conservatee's name so that it will look like a gift or they would someday inherit it. Selling assets is usually a sign that the estate is bloated with unproductive assets that are impairing cash flow. The concept is to sell assets that are not income-producing (uh, like automobiles?), and reinvest in assets that produce income, capital gains and/or appreciation (like securities and, in the right market, real estate).

55. Also, depreciating assets drag down the balance sheet.

57. Huh? Look, she's a nut BUT isn't her father supposed to be keeping her finances in a "holding pattern" rather than selling her crap off!

Don't know. Don't care. Just want her to go home to the swamp so I don't have to see her everytime I turn on the TV or internet. I think ol man Spears should donate Brit-Billy to a Loo-ee-zee-anna alligator ranch. Watching this skank get pummeled around by giant reptiles would be the most entertaining thing she's ever done!
