What's Eating Amy?

Is Amy Winehouse really suffering from impetigo? We talked to several board-certified dermatologists for the lowdown.

One doctor said Winehouse might be suffering from MRSA, a dangerous staph bacteria that's resistant to antibiotics.

Another doctor said the problem in figuring it out from the picture is that Amy has so much makeup on, it's hard to see the exact nature of the skin condition.

And still another doc said he didn't think the condition is caused from drug use (not that Amy uses drugs), because the lesions were not oval-shaped, which is a marker. But the plot thickens ... yet another doc said if she picked at the sores, that could change their shape. Dinner, anyone?

BTW, one of the docs -- famed Bev Hills skin doc Arnie Klein -- said, "Amy Winehouse should not be coming into close contact with other people while she has open sores." You'd have to be crazy to do that. Then again, Amy's friends are ...

136. #128 It would not deter kids, it would have just the opposite effect.
Students would be putting bleach, battery acid, diesel fuel or anything
else they could find so they could achieve the "Amy Winehouse" effect.
I know his sounds insane and sarcastic, but it would happen. If kids think the
two boys that did the Columbine high school massacre are cool just imagine
when they see Amy

137. I was thinking girls would be to afraid to ruin their skin and boys wouldn't look at them. What do I know, I haven't been that age in a while. I didn't have those kind of drugs in school. Just the basics. Isn't progress grand. Huffin, the choking game, all kinds of stuff to worry about,

140. Nah, I take that back. Kids are a lot smarter and more educated on drug awareness. Seeing this picture would scare the hell out of most teenagers, Besides, she really isn't an attraction to the teenage scene. We can depend on the Britneys for that! lol

141. 107. You can't diagnose MRSA by looking at a person, you have to swab the wounds morons. If she does have MRSA, she'll be hospitalized soon which in her case looks like a blessing.

Posted at 8:26PM on Mar 18th 2008 by MRSA's in our nose

No, the great majority of people with MRSA are not admitted to hospital stays for it. Our jails (U.S.) are filled with folks with MRSA and they're not in the medical wards, which could never be large enough to house them all. Google MRSA and jails. IV drug users suffer MRSA for months, years, and sometimes until they die when they encounter MRSA that is indeed resistant to all treatment in immuned suppressed patients. Then they die one lost limb at a time, at home, on welfare. Not in hospitals. Google MRSA and lost limbs for an eye opener.

142. that is so nasty, lets just keep supporting her drug habbit and letting her come to the states so she could possibly infect people like you or well you!

143. I really do not know, but what age group is buying (downloading) Amy
Winehouse songs? I would think it would between the ages of 16 and 25.
That age group is still at an influential stage of their life. Students today
are as smart and as dumb as any group before them, the dumbness they
just express in a different way than previous generations.

144. Earlier in the week there were photos elsewhere of her with a huge lump in her cheek. THAT is a big sign of MRSA (rather than just Impetigo or SSRA) and that, along with several other superbugs, is a big deal in England right now where folks eat little healthy greens or fruits, drink too much, are unhealthy, pasty, spotty and generally unclean.

146. All the addicted pop stars are dancing with death on a regular basis - it is no surprise they start to look like zombies after awhile. The media also rewards these " pop wrecks " because zombie queens sell more media stuff than healthy but boring folks.

Let's face it, there are just not many heroes out there."

Yup, not many heroes but too many "heroines"..

She was so wasted at the Grammy Live. She had taken some sedatives or such the way she was trippin -- Slower than my aunties pendulum driven cuckoo clock that hasn't ran for years. And that's just sad. She's setting the worst of examples for teens.
