Is Amy Winehouse really suffering from impetigo? We talked to several board-certified dermatologists for the lowdown.
One doctor said Winehouse might be suffering from MRSA, a dangerous staph bacteria that's resistant to antibiotics.
Another doctor said the problem in figuring it out from the picture is that Amy has so much makeup on, it's hard to see the exact nature of the skin condition.
And still another doc said he didn't think the condition is caused from drug use (not that Amy uses drugs), because the lesions were not oval-shaped, which is a marker. But the plot thickens ... yet another doc said if she picked at the sores, that could change their shape. Dinner, anyone?
BTW, one of the docs -- famed Bev Hills skin doc Arnie Klein -- said, "Amy Winehouse should not be coming into close contact with other people while she has open sores." You'd have to be crazy to do that. Then again, Amy's friends are ...

Dang, she looks like she is definitely off the wagon. I was so rooting for her during the grammy's. I felt like her winning the grammy during such a difficult time in her life was really touching. Don't spread this around, but I actually cried when she won. I was so proud that she had done the clean-up thing and she was going to be a shining example to the world. I said out loud "There, hope that was worth getting clean for GF!" For a brief second the whole world was standing with her.
Let's face it, there are just not many heroes out there. Humans are frail and weak and drug addicts are the weakest of all.
She's a picker!!!! Drug use for sure!!! She needs to wear some gloves and take a nice long nap and let those things heal. When you think about what comes out of your pores....the drugs must come out some where. It looks like its almost burning her skin which could indicate toxic chemicals from drugs...ie: Meth (drain-o, battery acid etc..)
Not caused by drugs because they "are not oval shaped"???? WTF?? Has that doc ever seen an actual meth user or crack head? Well I have, my ex turned into one. He was once a very good looking man, but after he started using he had sores all over his face and neck and they were not oval shaped. He would pick at them and they would get bigger and bigger and it was just gross! I think Amy's problem is not only that she is a crack head (she was video taped remember!) but she is probably dirty and does have some sort of bacterial infection going on. YUCK!
Net is exactly right. And Amy, you need help, but I guess it all boils down to you actually WANTING help.
