What's Eating Amy?

Is Amy Winehouse really suffering from impetigo? We talked to several board-certified dermatologists for the lowdown.

One doctor said Winehouse might be suffering from MRSA, a dangerous staph bacteria that's resistant to antibiotics.

Another doctor said the problem in figuring it out from the picture is that Amy has so much makeup on, it's hard to see the exact nature of the skin condition.

And still another doc said he didn't think the condition is caused from drug use (not that Amy uses drugs), because the lesions were not oval-shaped, which is a marker. But the plot thickens ... yet another doc said if she picked at the sores, that could change their shape. Dinner, anyone?

BTW, one of the docs -- famed Bev Hills skin doc Arnie Klein -- said, "Amy Winehouse should not be coming into close contact with other people while she has open sores." You'd have to be crazy to do that. Then again, Amy's friends are ...

123. ok, this picture is so old - anyone with the internet can work that out. she doesnt look like this now, it is so over 3 weeks ago. she is actually looking a whole lot better these days. so quick to rush to judgement because TMZ posted an old picture. stop hating on her just cuz you think its cool!

124. Her face looks like this girls face I saw on that A&E show "Intervention". The girl was young looked about 14 on the show had blond hair and a mother that had an eating disorder they both went to rehab. The young girl on the show was smoking heroin. Her skin did the same thing. If you can find this episode check it out. I guess It's heoin for Amy Winehouse

128. To Gina, I am a FORMER meth addict; been clean almost 3 years. I am also going to school to become a Substance Abuse Counselor, but I can tell you that addiction is NOT a disease. Of course we wouldn't have such harsh things to say about Amy if she had cancer, that is a legitimate disease that a person does NOT CHOOSE to acquire. Doing drugs is a CHOICE and it is also your CHOICE to STOP using them. I may want to help addicts in need, but I sure as hell do not feel sorry for them. If I had felt sorry for myself while doing drugs, I'd still be a crackhead and I say no thanks to that. Good luck with your addiction and remember you CAN stop as long as you actually WANT to stop and get the proper help if needed. Even if that means making sacrifices and major life changes.

135. You wanna hear something insane, I post on a forum and I posted a topic on it about Amy's skin condition and posted a link to this article, the administrator on the site removed the post and put me on probationary status because of it citing the picture as the cause, how crazy is that, just for posting a link to this article with that picture.
