"Bachelor" Went Bali Hai, NOT Baghdad

It was widely reported that former "Bachelor" hunk, Navy Lt. Andy Baldwin, was doing his patriotic duty by trading his civilian Speedos to fight in Iraq. But it's not true -- turns out Baldwin was in the South Pacific! Did we invade Tahiti too?!

A Navy rep tells TMZ the tantastic muscle man was actually in Palau -- no, not competing on "Survivor" -- but as part of a recovery team doing an underwater excavation of a B-24J bomber that went down during WWII.

Sounds like a government sponsored scuba vacay to us!

93. ROFL TMZ - you sound like you are feeling betrayed! It was public knowledge and reported back in January that he was not going to the Middle East (and NEVER to Iraq - it was BAHRAIN ). Just because you failed to confirm your sources don't get all bent out of shape... LOL

94. I don't find fault in TMZ reporting this story. I don't think by doing so, they
are delving into politics. Andy Baldwin (though a jerk I think he is for appearing
on that millionaire dating crap show), is considered a somewhat celebrity now, and
is in the military. TMZ reports on celebrities...Andy just crosses both lines with celebrity and
military.

The only thing I feel is wrong, is for TMZ or any other author of an article...is to sway away
from objectively reporting, and not interjecting their own personal opinion while reporting....not good...
not ethical from a journalistic stand point.

Sorry, TMZ, that is just how I see it. Other then that, no problem with keeping up with Andy or other
celebs, as long as they are not stalked to get the story.

97. That blond moron on the show has the nerve to disrespect the recovery attempt of the bomber? This idiot obviously doesn't know crap about the importance of recovery of people and property especially when it comes to Military. I had nothing to do with it but I care plenty for the simple fact family members of mine stormed these beaches and were shot down in planes. IDIOT... Rather my taxes pay for this than going towards lazy asses in the welfare line
