Crash Victim to Hogans: You're Responsible

The family of John Graziano, the man injured in Nick Hogan's August 2007 street racing crash, has filed suit against Hulk, Linda and Nick Hogan alleging they were negligent and are directly liable for the wreck that seriously injured the former Marine.

According to court papers filed today in Pinellas County, Fla. Circuit Court by Graziano's court-appointed guardian Peter Musante, Hulk and Linda (whose real names are Terry and Linda Bollea) should be held legally responsible for their son's accident.

In the suit, Musante alleges that Nick negligently operated his Toyota Supra by racing another man in a Dodge Viper, a car also owned by Hulk. The suit claims the Bolleas were aware of Nick's need for speed and knew that he had souped-up his vehicle for the purpose of racing.

The lawsuit also names Daniel Jacobs, who was driving the Viper that night, as a co-defendant. He pleaded no contest to reckless driving last month.

76. Parents, you are responsible for your minor children, let this be a lesson.

77. If McDonalds is accountable for burning someone's hand with coffee, then they Hogans can be held accountable for this boy being a vegetable for the rest of his life.

I'm so sure that his parents are standing over his lifeless body thinking to themselves, hmmmm how can I become rich off of this. Obviously most of you don't have children. If this were my son, someone would be paying. The only way the Hogan's will know pain like John's parents do is to take their millions away from them. It's not about getting rich, about vendication for your child's life.

78. It will take about $30k a month for life to take care for this child. Do the math.

"Dr. Malcolm Fraser conducted examinations last month and listed Graziano as Glasgow Coma Scale".

79. I think that most people knew this was coming. Dumping the blame on John Graziano is useless. His life as he knew it is over. But facts are facts. Nick Bollea is a minor. His parents allowed him to continue to drive even after excessive speeding tickets. Because he is a minor his parents are solely responsible for this. Like it or not, that is the facts. It has been shown that Nick Bollea was driving the streets at 13....what the hell is that? And to call this a mistake...an accident. Well with the speeding over 100 mph, this was bound to happen. No, the military does not take care of the bills 100% like some people think. And even so, what about the agony of the man's parents? The Bolleas did all they could with their lies about the medical condition of the man...with the reality that the man's mother and father were looking at and to see those SOB's telling the world he was perfect..he just bumped his head...we will walk John out of the hospital...my heart goes out to the man's family. The Bolleas will have to live with this...as unfair as some of you may think it is, that is life and life isn't always fair. Amber, how old are you? 12 or 13? You have a huge amount of growing up to do. And FlBiker, it is refreshing to see that someone gets it. Your post #66 says it all.

80. #53 FIBiker,

You're right Amber has no idea what she is talking about. Theoretically, the VA System is abligated to take care of all Veterans withSERVICE CONNECTED INJURIES OR ILLNESSES. There is some care porvided for non-service connected health care, but no where near a total care package.

And, the abouve statement assumes that the Service Connected Vets are being well cared for. From what I've read, there have been real problems with this.

Bottom line, parents are responieble for their minor children--till age 18. Big judgement here and justifiably so. Still a crying shame all around, because kids do stupid things and this one was a tragedy.

81. Not surprised...It's the American way, after all. John was a 22 year old adult who decided to get in a car with someone else, fully knowing what was going to happen. There is something called "free will". I doubt that he was "forced" or kidnapped to enter the vehicle....the parents are bitter and just want their bank accounts to fill up, hoping that will make "their pain" go away.

82. No presonal responsibility? Why did the guy get into the car with Nick in the forst place? To go race, that's what.

Nah, nobody is gonna buy that line of BS.
Nick is a minor, his parents bought him a lethal weapon and alcohol and set him free. Criminal negligence.....

84. Why the hell wouldn't they be responsbile. They brought Nick up to be what he is today, gave him the means ($) and the vehicle and didn't teach him any discipline. Who else should be responsible?

I have worked at the VA hospital in Tampa, I wouldn't let a loved one spend time there.
Thankfully the Bollea's have the neccesary resources to cover the damage done by the criminal acts of their son. This was not an accident, this was an inevitable event.

86. To 79 disgusted, do you have any idea what good medical treatment costs? John Graziano will require round the clock nurses and aides for the rest of his life. And you have the gall to say Graziano's parents want to pad their bank accounts? Unbelievable. The Bolleas should be held financially responsible for all of the medical bills for that man. Whether he chose to ride with Nick is not the problem. The problem lies with 2 parents who gave their kid powerful cars, registered in Daddy's name by the way...they knew his record and still let him go. They are responsible, like it or not.

89. #81 FIBiker,

I have been in the medical field for years and I wouldn't either--just saying that Service Connected Vets are supposed to get their care totally covered. Amber and all these other clowns who think that young man won't need a ton of money in order to be well-cared for are totally clueless.

I also agree that Nick was a minor and his parents were unbelievably irresponsible regarding this preventable tragedy.

90. .......and I guess Graziano's parents are responsible for allowing their son to get in the car with Nick!! STOP IT!! It was a accident. Things happen.
