Velvet Revolver:

Gravedancing?

3/24/2008 3:06 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Velvet Revolver's frontman Scott Weiland and drummer Matt Sorum don't seem to be getting along well lately, sparking rumors that Velvet Revolver days are coming to an end.

Last Thursday night during a show in Glasgow, UK, Weiland shocked the crowd -- and his bandmates -- by announcing they were "watching something special... the last tour by Velvet Revolver." According to several reports, the rest of the band looked at each other in disbelief.

After that "announcement" Matt fired back with heated comments blog: "Being in a band is a lot like being in a relationship. Sometimes you just don't get along." And clearly referring to Weiland, says, "Unfortunately some people in this business don't realize how great of a life they have."

Then Weiland fired back, issuing a statement to Blabbermouth: "I've made many attempts to remain cordial with the members of VR, but mainly, the like of you. Funny though -- this if your FIRST band, as opposed to being a hired gun. I've been making records (now on my ninth), which have sold over 35 million copies worldwide and have maintained a level of professionalism regardless of how many drugs I've ingested into my system."

Is this the beginning of the end? A rep publicist for the band kept mum when we asked.

The story caught my eye. It could just be that Scott Weiland is getting restless creatively. Ever thought about it that way? What the hell do you tmz.com readers think has been going on the last eight or so years? Nothing..... but a sham. Creatively people have been very repressed. That's why you got riots going on in Hollywood with the club goers. It is a new era that of which will bring people back to their lucid form. The drugs and alcohol are just either side effects or stimulants. Don't you guys feel compelled to shop when you buy a cup of coffee at one of the many Starbucks and Coffee Bean stores? It's relative from that aspect. Think about it. Hey... you guys at tmz.com... did you read the quote from Justin Timberlake in Us magazine? He says Madonna told him to "drop them" to administer Vitamin B12 up his ass! Read about it! It the issue with Ms. Dupre on the cover.

It isn't a shocker that VR is breaking up. What do you expect when drugs are involved?? Slash, you just need to form your own band again and kick more ass!! It is a shame this is happening because you guys did rock.

Who cares? Weiland's career was over when he left STP.

I do wonder what is so horrible about this guys life that he just can't kick the drugs. Newsflash Scott, it's time to grow up.

Uh, tracey... Matt Sorum was in Guns N' Roses for a while as well. Weiland knows this, don't you think, seeing as just about everyone else in VR was from G N' R as well? Use your head.Scott Weiland is the ONLY reason VR is selling CD's. He could join any band and become a hit. SLash and co. were LUCKY to have had him while they did. Slash's solo album did soooo well, didn't it? So did Duff's, anyone remember that debacle?
