Famous Chef Invincible to Veggies ... and Bullets!

Paul PrudommeFamed Cajun chef Paul Prudhomme was shot today but amazingly the bullet did no damage. All that extra padding finally paid off!

According to reports, Prudhomme was cooking (of course) at a golf course in Louisiana when he felt something hit his arm. That something was a .22 caliber bullet! It didn't even penetrate his skin.

Police had originally classified the incident as a shooting, but then deemed it a simple complaint. They say a .22 caliber bullet can travel almost two miles, so they may never know who fired the shot. Who needs a bulletproof vest, when you got excess skin!

46. I am making an attemt to coerce the powers that be to enable the real talent that has the ability and knowhow, to make a slight impression on anyone that has a bit of talent, and posssibly influence them that there is a place for them in the standards and practices in the realm of talent itself, and thereby making, and setting forth a challenge to go beyond what has been done before, and do more, to do better, and not just copy the artists of the past, but to break new ground, and not be satisfied with the "status quo" but to go beyond that and be independant, and make a name for themself, without riding on the coat-tails of others.

47. I hope justice is served and the person responsible is held accountable. It made the internet first? That is messed up! I have no idea how to help but the internet can be a wonderful tool. Good luck but this being a celebrity blog I don't see much help here. Did law enforcement leak that to the internet? If they didn't what do they say about it? Get yourself into a good victim of family violence support group. There are people ther who do nothing more then help people find justice. This happened to my sister in-laws relative a couple of years ago and that support helped her the most. Look it up in your area.

48. LOL...

Don Prudomme? The drag racer...has great sauce? You guys kill me...

Paul Prodomme was one of the original celebrity chefs who paved the way for Wolfgang, Emeril and the rest of them.

Fat wouldn't keep the bullet from penetrating anyway you morons. It probably had little energy left after being fired from a great distance. It is obvious that you wouldn't let science or logic stand in the way of making you feel better by bashing this guy.

I am trying to figure out whether these are fat people bashing this guy to make themselves feel better, or people who just bash everyone.

53. This story just shows how current reporters and media can twist a story. The area where he was cooking is surrounded by woodlands that hunters often use for hunting. The police and the bullistics concluded that the bullet came from a rifle from at least two miles away and that the bullet was shot into the air. This story makes it sound as if it hit him from a horizontal plane. The bullet was basically falling from the sky and just so happened to hit his arm as it came back down to earth. If it had not "touched" his arm and had just fallen to the ground, no one would have even noticed this bullet. TMZ get ALL the facts right. Do not just report a portion of the story...it is misleading and wrong. And basically just plain stupid.

57. I'm always astounded by the ignorance of some bloggers. If you have no knowledge of the person or issue being reported...WHY WOULD YOU EVEN BOTHER TO COMMENT? Chef Prudhomme is partially responsible, for putting New Orleans on the "culinary scene". His seasoning and sauce products ,are stocked in just about every major grocery store chain in the U.S. and abroad. If this story is true, he's one lucky man. I just hope that this wasn't a botched attempt by someone, wanting to collect on this fame.
