Get Out! Barack Related to Pitt -- Hillary to Angie

Family TreeThis is one crazy family tree! The New England Historic Genealogical Society, the oldest and largest nonprofit genealogical organization in the country, has found a way to get Barack and Hillary together -- through lineage!

They claim Barack Obama and Brad Pitt are ninth cousins, and Hillary Clinton is related to Pitt's baby mama, Angelina Jolie -- they're also ninth cousins. That family reunion would have drama for days!

The report also says that Obama is a very distant relative of President Bush. According to the Geological Society , they are 10th cousins, once removed ... whatever that means.

Barack is also linked to five other Presidents -- including Harry S. Truman and Gerald Ford.

Hillary is a distant cousin of singers Madonna, Celine Dion and Alanis Morissette, because of French-Canadian descent on her mother's side. If she doesn't win the nomination, maybe they can form a band.

20. This goes to show that white and blacks may have bad history, but we are more related than any other two races. It all goes to slavery, when the slave owners were having kids with the slaves. If you look at a black person's DNA and a white person's DNA they will have more similarities than a white person and an asian. Even though whites and asians may have similar skin color and hair. Yet we are the two who hate each other the most

25. This is funny but the fact is if you go back more than 3-4 generations you will not have a lot of the same genes. So the relationship is basically just iconic.

If you go back 8-10 generations then you're probably related to half the USA ...

27. A system of degrees and removes is used to describe the relationship between the two cousins and the ancestor they have in common. The degree (first, second, third cousin, etc.) indicates the minimum number of generations between either cousin and the nearest common ancestor; the remove (once removed, twice removed, etc.) indicates the number of generations, if any, separating the two cousins from each other.

For example, a person with whom you share a grandparent is your first cousin; someone with whom you share a great-grandparent is a second cousin. Where your relationship to the nearest common ancestor is different from your cousin's relationship then the term removed is used to indicate this, for example the child of your first cousin is your first cousin once removed because there is a generation between you.
