35. Sara, please don't tell people that HIV isn't a death sentence anymore. It most definitely STILL IS, but the medication regime is prolonging the lives of some people (but certainly not all). HIV is a very complex disease, and people should know that it's not just popping a pill once you get it. Many people die everyday from AIDS, often because they don't adhere to their medications. The reason? Because the medications themselves are so awful. They're spaced at multiple times throughout the day and have terrible side effects for a lot of people (often the side effects are as bad as the disease).

Brandon, he does have very skinny legs. One of the side effects of long term antiretrovirals is that body fat is redistributed to the arms, chest, and abdomen. People eventually lose the fat pads on their cheeks, too. There's a whole cosmetic industry for AIDS patients who have been on meds for a long time and need this problem, and others, cosmetically fixed.

So don't be fooled. HIV/AIDS is a terrible disease that you DON'T want to get. Protect your self by practicing safer sex!!!

37. Raj: name one white athlete that has made claims of sleeping with over 1,000 women. I can think of 2 Black ones that have---Magic and Wilt...in fact Wilts number was 10,000. So slow down a little son, quit trying to make White People suddenly having Black Atheltes disease. They may screw around, but they dont make claims and public conquests of it as these two idiots did.

Great way to represent their Race isnt it? Call Rev. Wright if you have any questions. I am so sick of being bamboozled by Black Athletes and supposed "Reverends" blaming all the Black Mans woes on the White Man.

Taking Personal Responsibility should be the new rallying cry for all instead of for just the non Black people of this Land. Mexicans, Asians, Whites, all take it. Some Blacks do, but still too much Bling Bling as the new Eye on the Prize....gotta change and quit blaming White People for what truly amounts to just being lazy.

43. this makes me sick.....i know it's sad to say...but my aunt passed away from hiv so quickly and it just goes to show that money gets you everything, even life. he may be an advocate for hiv and aids but it's disturbing that she suffered so much and look at him. i guess i am jealous a little. he's been diagnosed since 1991. i mean, seriously? i feel like people are holding out on a cure. just makes me sad.

44. SOFIA.... you are so right.... obviously theres something out there that the common man isn't entitled to because we don't have the money to pay for it. Money is the root of all evil... if you have none, you get nothing. The irony is that we work hard, pay our taxes, try to live right and we get crapped on cuz we don't have money trees growin in our backyard. I've always hated magic johnson... I don't believe in people that begin to advocate for something theyve never had a clue about until it affected their lives. what a hypocrite. sorry about your grandma...maybe one day the world will see the err of its ways...

45. it's funny to me that a man can say he is HIV+ in 1991 when others were dying of this disease (and my friends among them) and because he has money and stature is alive and healthy. he champions himself as an activist for the cause, but other than come out as positive, what did he do? a few public service announcements? what does he continue to do? apparently his levels are so low that he is undetectable and i guess that gives him the freedom to ignore his disease. i wish others were that lucky. no, HIV is not the death sentence that it once was, but it's still not something we can ignore just because it's not in our face. would you ignore racism if it was whispered instead of yelled? sexism? homophobia? you probably would...and that's the saddest thing about this picture
