Oh Ma God! Remy Guilty on Four Counts

The verdict just came down in the Remy Ma trial, and the rapper has been convicted on four major charges -- two counts of first-degree assault, attempted coercion, and criminal possession of a weapon.

The charges stem from a 2007 incident in which Remy shot a friend of hers after a fight over $3,000 in cash stolen from Remy's purse. The defense tried to make the shooting an accident -- but it looks like they didn't quite convince the jury.

Remy was not found guilty of gang assault and witness tampering, among the nine total charges she faced. We're told the victim's friends and family taunted Remy when the verdicts were read -- full pandemonium in the courtroom.

Remy could face up from five to 25 years in prison at sentencing.

RAP IS MUSIC. NOT A LIFE STYLE. HIP-HOP IS A CULTURE THAT HAS BROUGHT MORE DIFFERENT PEOPLE TOGETHER ANY OTHER FORM OF MUSIC. WORLDWIDE..

Also... there were thugs and gangsters back in the 20's and 30's.. Rapping originated in the 70's and didn't have a subgenre of "gangsta rap" into the late 80's..The people in the Black community need to stop blaming a form of music for most of its problems. Theres way too many injustices going on that do not have anything to do with rap.

30. I was looking at some of these comments and started shaking my head.... "black thug rapper?" Wow.... Just to EDUCATE some of you..these "black thug rappers" are influenced by "white thug movies" like The Godfather, Scarface, Carlito's Way, GoodFellas and Casino. Also by an American media that glamorizes violence and a excessive lifestyle...It's unfortunate that Remy had to resort to handling the situation in the manner that she did but when our young people.. black, white whatever are constantly bombarded by these images on TV, movies and in print..this is the result. The most unfortunate thing about this is.. she has a son..who's mother is more than likely going to jail...
