T.I. To Bring Out A Guilty Plea

16. The REAL crime here is that if TI was not a rapper, a performer, whatever, if he didnt have fame and money and access to lawyers and what not, he'd be facing serious time in a federal prison! This is an outrage, an injustice to Americans of ALL races and sex. This country has failed to provide justice for all by imposing mandatory minimum sentencing and sentencing guidelines on judges removing their ability to fit the punishment to the crime. Except in cases like this where money can buy whatever it wants, even get out of jail free cards. He is a convicted felon caught conspiring to purchase illegal firearms! There are federal prisons overflowing with KIDS and fathers, brothers, sons, who are spending their lives wasting away for crimes of equal or less degree who dont have a name or money to buy a fair and just sentence where rehabilitation or community service are an option. Its time for people to take a reality check and open their eyes to the issues that run deeper than the color of a persons skin!

First of all I personally love Rap music and I don't know what T.I. was thinking when he was trying to purchase those guns, he is however a very VERY talented artist and I know he will pull through this. As for the Lenn K person who said that Smokey Robinson and the Temptations never acted like that...........COME ON GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR BUTT!!!! Look at how The Temptations lived their lives......look at how Marvin Gaye lived his life. Frankie Lymon....Ike Turner do I need to go on? So don't sit there and try and tell me it's just rappers from this day and age and not the people of yesterday............which by the way I love all of Motown. As for the IGNORANT person who used the word COLORED........Wow what an idiot. It's people like him who continue to have racism in our country. This is not an issue of race at all!!!! This is an issue of a performer getting caught buying guns nothing more nothing less. Not anywhere in the articles have I seen a black and white issue here.

28. I hate people that pretend that this is not a racist community. Come on! Let's get real here! Let's get to the facts: 75% of immates are black, car insurance goes WAY UP in black neighborhoods, rent goes down, of course, but have you seen the neighborhoods??? Scary places, aren't they? Isn't it true that some places are targeted to the black population and God forbid should a white person put a foot inside those places, they are going to make you feel uncomfortable until you are forced to leave!!! Don't we all cross the streets when we see a group of black kids coming our way?? Don't they even have their own TV station???

Please people, face reality...racism is still around. Just look around your neighborhood, analyze data, house prices, for example, check demographics, don't be stupid and blind!
