Obama -- Brad's the Hot One in the Family

The yentas of "The View" went all googly-eyed for Barack Obama on today's show, but it was Barbara Walters who really went there with Barack.

When asked about being Brad Pitt's ninth cousin, Obama said that Brad was the one who got the looks in the family -- Babwa disagreed, strongly. And then they had to go and talk about stuff like foreign policy and race relations and O-blah-blah-blah-ma ...

46. Elisabeth never admits she is wrong. She brought up the question about the minister but then refused to drop it! She would have taunted and taunted Obama if she could have. Little Miss Know-It-All truly deserves her new title of "WORSE INTERVIEWER" and ABC needs to get rid of her asap! She truly is a BIGOT AND RACIST IMO of the first order and her passionate protests and feigning ignorance and her thoughts of everything being just so wrong ARE DEAD GIVEAWAYS to her true colors.

47. Hey, it just occured to me....maybe Elisabeth Filarski was called A DUMB POLAK a few times before she got her husband to marry her! Sherry and Whoopi I am sure know a few good Polish jokes and they should try them out on Elisabeth so everyone can see what sense-of-humor she has. Elisabeth, if the shoe fits.....

49. Some of these people sound sooooo stupid on here. He has said over and over again. The man said that he doesn't believe in what he was saying. GET OVER IT ALREADY!!! as a christian you go to chuch to unite with the congergation and sometimes you don't agree with the minister. But you don't leave the church of worship you have been going to. He loves his church and he wants to stay. I say good for him. The minister has left. Let us go on with what he has to bring to the American people. And I believe that he is the one to run this poor failing country. Let's focus on bringing our troops home. Not on a old man that may just be saying some bad things at the wrong time. Get over it already. #34. You said a mouth full. Good for you!! Hillary needs to sit down and spend some time with Bill. Maybe if she would have spent more time with him then oh Monaky wouldn't had her way with him. I'm just saying. Oh my, a intellengent, good looking black man running this country. GOD BE WITH YOU OBAMA! You have my vote!!

55. you make some very good points jase.

I guess black people should just shrug and say ok bygones! Its hard to move past it when blacks were stripped of everything even dignity, told they were inhumane, and were given the worst treatment. Even after slavery ended they were still and are treated like less than. The problem is blacks should stop waiting for whites to see that American slavery was wrong. Yes slaverv began in Arab nations and Africa but they did not DEHUMANIZE their slaves like Americans, they were treated like members of family. For 400 years blacks have been programmed to believe they were nothing and not worthy. But despite that, they still overcame so many challenges. Blacks should be proud of what the past generations were able to accomplish. There is still more work to be done that is what blacks should focus on - direct your energy in that way with humility. Blacks harbor anger and whites harbor hatred. Fortunately younger generations don't harbor as much hatred and anger as their elders. I am multiracial and thank the Lord I have indian and asian blood mixed in with white and black. However, growing up i have heard whites say worst things about blacks than blacks have EVER said about whites. I look Columbian or South American so people thing I am neutral. Whites have more racist thoughts than blacks do hands down. Even whites that have businesses that caters to blacks they are still racist. The things that are said behind closed doors you would not believe. I havent heard too many black people like Rev. Wright in my life but from the video I have seen of him speaking I think people are upset with hearing the truth. That church is about building the black community not separatism. Besides the HIV comment he did make some valid points. I would never say damn next to the lord's name and it is disturbing to hear. But when all people are treated as equals - with respect and dignity then we can all say God bless America. And our country will truly be blessed. It will never happen until the greed, hatred, and anger subsides. Do you think God would agree with the way this country was formed, how it is run and the direction it is going? I pray every night that one day my daughter will live in a country where this hatred and anger has ceased, maybe I will see it in my lifetime. This is a beautiful country and we are blessed in so many ways but we need to do better and it starts with each person. Harboring hatred and anger is a self inflicting disease - no good can come from it. Hatred will never end with another hatred action. Be the leader and let others learn by your actions.

59. Just a couple of points
1) Obama is a RICH boy, he grew up in luxury and had all the things rich people have. Don't buy his poor boy grows up to do great things act.
2) He is also a big liar, there are lots of misrepresentations in his book, he lied about NAFTA and many other things
3) He is also selectively racist himself, he has said something which was offensive to Indian-American supporters of Hillary. I don't like the double standard many of the black leaders use, it seems they think it is all right to insult others. Look at the likes of people like Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. These guys claim to fight for civil rights, more like fighting to get publicity for themselves and to line their pockets.
4) He is an admitted drug user and DEALER. Bush is drunk fool too, he gets no break from me either.
5) Check his voting record, his voting record on the IRAQ WAR is no different than Hillary. His statement that he was opposed to the WAR is a fairy tale, he had no vote than.
6) Checking his voting record in State, you will see some interesting YES-NO votes. This means he will vote one way and later say it was a mistake (in his state you can explain your vote if it was wrongly caste), but according to his state rules the vote can't be turned. So he plays both sides.
7) Also don't say he is a real African American, his father is from KENYA, his family was not enslaved. Do you know his father is from the upper class in Kenya, who themselves owned slaves. I have lived in Africa, don't be fooled by the PC history they teach in schools. It is a sad part of history for myself that Africans sold their own brothers and sisters into slavery. This is no way forgiving the Europeans who exploited them and dehumanized them, but sadly there was an African hand in the slave trade. These collaborators are equally responsible, they were traitors to the people of Africa and the great continent.
8) One question I have for all those who supported him in New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina victims, where was Obama when you needed help? Do you know he VOTED AGAINST A BILL THAT WOULD GIVE MONEY TO NEW ORLEANS TO REBUILD? This is a fact, you can look it up.

Believe me I have little respect for either 3 candidates now, Hillary is just a bore and some of her ideas are just ridiculous. Seriously folks America is in real DEBT, where is the money to make a health plan for all? McCain well not much to say, has some good ideas like cutting Pet Projects, but those are shadowed by his Iraq support. But at least he talks his mind, though he is usually wrong. However the real good candidates were pushed out by the media, people like Ron Paul, Kuscinich and Edwards got shafted by the media. Its sad that the media is so busy sucking up to Obama they are not asking him real hard questions. Do you want a candidate who talks a nice talk, but does little. Or one who might not be the most polished speaker but does the job A+. Thats my word, take if for what it is. It is sad America has to choose between these 3. I feel a really good independent candidate can win this time. That will make both parties take a second look, maybe they should work for the people who elect them, not the corporate and self interest. Yeah, doubt that will happen soon.

60. Ah, it is very interesting to see the supporters -- and critics -- of Barack Hussein Obama.

Sure, a cheesy show like The View (and referring to it as cheesy is being oh-so-kind) is hardly the place to get your 'politics' from. But simply put, BHO simply does not have the necessary experience to deal with the job of being President of the United States. He's a neophyte pol, who has never really defined how he is going to bring about 'change'.

I believe the reason why is that he simply has no plan -- sure, it makes for great soundbites to discuss 'change', but is he really equipped to execute on the plan? He has the advantage of running as a Democrat when the Republican President is crashing and burning like Jimmy Carter on a drinking binge. But THAT is not a reason to vote a political newbie into office.

Unfortunately, the average person is just that -- average. The average "View" viewer is even less.
