Parents Slam J.Lo Over Posh Nursery

People mag's spread on J.Lo and Marc Anthony's newborn twins has shocked some staffers at Parents magazine.

The peeved peeps posted an open memo to J.Lo citing numerous baby safety hazards. But TMZ spoke to Kimberlee at Boo Boo Busters, a child safety company, and they say J.Lo is totally in the right.

Where Parents criticizes the nursery for having canopies and bows on and around the cribs -- suffocation hazards -- Kimberlee Mitchell, owner and found of Boo Boo Busters, says that for newborn babies like J.Lo's, this is not a concern. She says, "When your baby starts sitting up, at around six months or so, that's when you remove any canopies or mobiles." Emme and Max are barely a month old.

The blog's memo also went so far as to berate Lopez for not having window guards on the nursery's windows. Perhaps window guards weren't very photogenic? After all, in one of the magazine's pictures, Jenny from the Block is pictured feeding her baby ... in an evening gown.

Next time Parents might want to wait to nail J.Lo and Marc Anthony until they're seen driving erratically while dangling the twins out a car window.

346. Jesus, jealousy is rampart here. Does anyone think this elderly first time mom is going to take a chance on harming her babies? Puleeeze.

347. Do I hear jealousy speaking? I am very happy for JLo and her husband. These babies are loved and wanted. If they have the frills...so what? For those of you who are waiting for these to be 2 spoiled 18 year-olds, shame on you. I don't have 2 dimes to rub together, tried to give my child all the moral and ethical lessons I thought she needed, and she still ended up 16 and pregnant. Sometimes, you can be the best parent you can be, and it still isn't enough. Just because JLo's babies have the frills doesn't mean she isn't going to teach them right from wrong! Just because they chose their own path doesn't make her a bad parent.

348. There has been so much in the news lately about the safety of bumper pads in cribs. Poor J Lo is being made an example of. Well, the trend in the US towards not using bumper pads in the crib was a long time coming. Canada, Australia and Europe have been recommending no bumpers for years. As a Canadian company, Babylicious addressed this issue last year, launching crib FRINGE. It can be challenging when you are excited about having a new baby and want to get your nursery all done up....if you take out the bumper the crib can look empty. In fact, the bumper is the main decorative element in a nursery and really feels stark without it. Understanding this, we created CRIB FRINGE - that matches our crib sets (many parents opt for bumpers as their baby is older and getting limbs caught!)
The set contains 2 pennant like fringe pieces that tie to the upper rails of the long sides of the crib. They coordinate with the sheet and skirt for a complete look. We even took our concept one step further...so many people know that to use a quilt with a baby makes no sense either. Yet the typical retail pattern is to package 4 pieces together: a bumper, a sheet, a crib skirt and a quilt. That is 2 of 4 things that are not recommended to have in a crib! We launched "the Modern Bedding Bundle" which has a crib fringe, a sheet, a crib skirt and a sleep sack. Our Babylicious Sleep Cozy is the ideal and safe way for baby to stay warm and not be in jeopardy of having a blanket over their face.

Crib Fringe is $60, The modern bedding bundle is $180 and can be bought by calling 1-866-289-5210

349. For those of you who say that we have no right to judge JLo's nursery, her choice not to breastfeed, or anything else in that article: YES WE DO! The minute she decided to sell those photos to a national publication, she opened herself up to our judgement. Sure, I don't want any random stranger telling me how to live my life or raise my kids, but I didn't sell pictures of my home or talk about my personal choices to the national media. If I were to criticize any of JLo's choices, it would be the decision to expose her children to our scrutiny at such an early age. I know that they are natural targets of curiosity, but she shouldn't encourage the exposure, and she sure shouldn't complain about privacy when the paparazzi start hounding her kids the way they do with Britney Spears. She chose to be in the spotlight, but she shouldn't force her kids into it as well.

351. Do you people have nothing else better to do with your time than to critisize??It all just sounds like jelosy to me.. I think Jennifer and Mark are going to be good parents.. I think those kids are very fourtanute to have 2 loving parents. Jennifer has really turned herself around. Im just so tired of hearing all the negitive comments about them. Jennifer's fat, marks ugly etc.... They are people too... They have feelings.. Just keep that in mind.

352. It may be something I wouldn't choose (even if I had the money) but to each his own, she waited a long time to have her babies so let her enjoy them in the manner she chooses!
#7 Why does it bother you so much that she chose not to breast feed? That to is her CHOICE and it certainly doesn't mean she loves them any less! If she chooses formula and you choose the breast then so be it, she likes pampers and you like cloth...SO BE IT! Please find something of importance to be pissed off about.....ummm like maybe our troops dying in a senseless war or the crime rate or the state of this world...or better yet stop being PISSED and try to be HAPPY! :)

JLO CONGRATS ! Hey go buy them a stroller that looks like a mini "benz", if that's what you choose but just continue to "do you"! :)

353. Envy is a terrible thing... if I could afford a wonderful nursery like these fortunate twins have I would have been just as elaborate
What you spend is proportional to what you earn and this couple has worked very diligently to amass their fortune.
I am always amazed how much jealosy abounds in our world -

354. What is wrong with everyone? Why is she being slammed for not breastfeeding? she had twins for Christ sakes!!!!!!!!!!! I pumped for my first daughter, which went fine because she was a preemie and it was better for her, however with my second, I was TOLD by the nurses that because she was almost 9 lbs that it was best if I DIDN'T breast feed/ pump because I wouldn't produce enough for what she was eating!!!!! Does that make me a bad mother????????? I don't think so

355. ok people it's time to start getting lives, what j.lo and her husband do with their beautiful children's nursery is their business, and im pretty sure they have their babie's best interest at heart, so mind your business and chill out, don't be such haters just beacause you can't afford that beautiful nursery yourself, and if you don't know them personally, don't call them bad parents...boo-yah

356. 7. i used to like her. i read that article. she didnt even TRY to breastfeed her babies. that makes me sick. i know she can afford the extravagance. big deal. but what really pisses me off is not breastfeeding your baby, not using cloth diapers, and rampant consumerism. all that waste. bottles, containers of formula, and disposable diapers filling the landfills up. poor Mother Earth, doesnt anybody care about you anymore?

Cloth Diapers... DISGUSTING!!! Breastfeeding... Good, sure, BUT THERE ARE REASONS NOT TO DO IT! I

357. SO SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL NURSERY WHO'S BUSINESS IS IT ANYWAY! THEY BOTH HAVE WORKED HARD TO HAVE WHAT THEY HAVE, ALL THAT MATTERS IS THAT SHE HAS TWO BEAUTIFUL BLESSINGS. SO LEAVE HER ALONE ALREADY.

358. It looks like a funeral parlor! And no color.

359. I'm sorry but more and more J-Lo comes across as SO materialistic. While I'm sure she is very thrilled to have the new babies, I cannot imagine posing in a designer evening gown to pretend feed my baby, it's laughable. Also, the article said they were given real fur wraps for the infants, which is sickening. The nursery is overindulgent and in-your-face ritzy. She should've taken an example from Nicole Richie, who collected nursery items to donate to poor mothers who have NO crib let alone an ornate designer fancy-ass set like this. You have money, fine, get nice things of course! But to go over the top and never make any overtures that you care about those who have less makes me sick - sorry!

360. Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony don't have to explain themselves to any of you on here! Like any expectant parents, I am sure they wanted the best, most beautiful nursery that they could create for their children & THEY ACCOMPLISHED that. The nursery is beautiful. Tasteful & very elegant. Ms. Lopez & Mr. Anthony live an amazingly affluent and beautiful area not far from where I live (my home although beautiful pales in comparison to theirs Im sure lol). Why wouldn't they design a nursery that fit with the overall style of their home and what they wanted to set as the "tone" for their newborns? I am quite sure that these beautiful gifts from above will be well taken care of, loved & cherished. It is NO ONES business how Ms. Lopez & Mr. Anthony chose to spend their hard earned money on their children. To those of you who keep asking - How much did they donate last year? - How much did you donate? Did you donate your time? It's all relative people! People with true sense of taste and style see what a truly beautiful and serene nursery they have created. Window bars on the windows? Give me a break! Maybe after the babies 1st birthday but for now - UNNECESSARY. The bars on the windows should be their to keep you jealous, mindless, critical people AWAY from their children. I for one think the nursery is one of the most elegant I've seen (and very traditional as well) - not filled with cheap & gawdy junk. To all of you "know it alls " out there - No NOT all women can breast feed (medical issues etc.). Please get your facts straight before you start ripping this lovely new mother to shreds. It's NO ONES business what she does with her body. Get a life people. Wish them well, good health and lots of love and joy with their new babies.

Best to the new family! God Bless you all!
