47. What I wanna know is... why is anyone even offering her work? There must be hundreds of talented actors who could do AT LEAST as good as she once could, and who won't show up to the set late - or high - or hungover - or not at all.

I'm thinking that maybe she ought to pay her dues all over again, and not be handed opportunity after opportunity to get back to the pampered self-indulgent high life. The same goes for Britney. I don't believe that just because she was once successful that she is ENTITLED to an obscenely-high-paying career for the rest of her life. Work for it.

I'd love to see the studios start offering considerably less for starring roles, then see who's really willing to work "for their craft" and who just wants to be stinking rich enough to spend millions on things that they don't even appreciate the value of. I mean, Does anyone think the Paris/Britney/Lindsays can even tell the difference between a Bentley and a Grand Am?
Of course they can't, but someone told them that a Bentley or a Benz is more expensive, therefore better. Sheesh.

53. Broheem is the only negative commenter who actually has some constructive advice.
There are plenty of Lindsay Lohan movies where she hits rock bottom and then has to work her way back up. Just My Luck is the perfect example. She starts out with a penthouse in New York. Then she falls into a pile of poo, loses all her money, and has to work as a janitor in a bowling alley. With LiLo, art has always imitated life, and this is exactly what's happening to her now.

Lindsay to me is famous for a reason. She's ordinary yet extraordinary. She isn't trying to present a glamorized image but is herself with all the baggage that entails. She has had a lot of good fortune, money and fame, but at the same time she has no true friends, a monstrous family, and an exaggerated reputation as a slut. People act like she's some kind of leper when you can see she's not a bad kid, she's not Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie or any other of these soulless insects.

It's just that her loneliness feeds her sluttiness, and vice versa, and now she's trapped in a cycle. There's really nothing for her to do except sit home and stare at the walls, so she goes out and drowns her sorrows, dabbles in lesbianism, and sluts it up, but I don't think that's really her. I think she just does it because she's bored and scared and can't trust anyone for a real relationship.

So I don't think this is Hollywood testing her. Hollywood rewards the rotten and corrupt, and almost everyone at the Oscars this year is more filthy in their hearts than Lindsay Lohan. I see this as God testing her. She may lose everything but what was "everything" really? It was nothing.

54. My previous comment wasn't necessarily directed at Lindsay personally, but to the industry that encourages that vacuous type of behavior. What I'm trying to say is - these people likely wouldn't conduct themselves like some of them do if they weren't allowed to. Their antics sell magazines, movie tickets and, well, attract people (me included) to websites like this one, and the studios/agents/managers know it.

If the average working-class person repeatedly blew off work, showed up stoned, and told the boss to F off, are they typically patted on the head and given yet another chance? Hardly. Making an incredible living as an A-list actor (or musician or pro-athlete for that matter) is still a privilege - not a right - and for all of the spoiled (however gifted) "stars" that can't keep it together, there's HUNDREDS of others who can, but that doesn't draw the crowds. There are actors aplenty who don't spend half of their life at "exclusive" night clubs, different hotel suites every night (why?!), and know how to shop someplace other than Robertson Blvd.

The industry as a whole doesn't give a crap about any of these people. Lindsay OD's? They'll go after Mylie Cyrus. Britney jumps off a building? Let's make Francis Cobain an actor!! The only thing I fault with Lindsay, etc. is maybe the weakness to let it happen. She's no idiot, but she still got sucked in to the trap. Hopefully she'll snap out of it and enjoy the rest of her career.

58. With the right clothes, she can pull off the blonde, but the red is more unique and more flattering for her. I just want to know if the black she keeps wearing is symolic to let us know she is in mourning for her dying career. Linds, if your reading this, I luv ya girl, but I think a lot of people are still pissed at you. One good role is all you need to get back on track. You do look better in pastels though.

Don't those high dollar salons have more range then straw blonde? I could do better in my kitchen sink for half the price.

Now dont some hair salon owner/stylist come on and say oh but it's soooo hard to bring it back from dark.
