TMZ has learned that "A.I" contestant David Cook has been taken to the hospital after experiencing heart problems during tonight's show.
We're told Cook's heart was palpitating at a high rate and his blood pressure was high as well. Producers wanted him to go to the emergency room before the show ended, but David wanted to stay until it was over.
He is at the hospital now, condition unknown.

32. ROFLMAO! I'm a David Cook fan but I think Chris Cornell is by no means jealous he's not on Idol and he's definitely "made it" already. He was the lead singer for Audioslave and Soundgarden and has a solo career now.

If you obviously watched David tonight, or any night for that matter, proper credit has always been given and IN FACT given AGAIN tonight for the HEARING IMPAIRED who have missed it every time before. But there will still be those who still want to cry about that and refuse to give David credit for being a talented singer. On top of that have the audacity to bring up "karma" in the way you did? Normally I overlook trolls that hide behind a computer, but that is horrible. BTW, did you happen to also mis Cornell said on AI he LOVED Cook's version of his cover???

37. He is such a talented performer and though he wasn't one of my favorites in the beginning, his smooth soulful voice has won me over. I sincerely hope that he will recover from his illness. Perhaps it was just his heart racing and palpitating because of the excitement of finally realizing that he could actually win this competition. At any rate, my prayers are with him.

41. Relax people, whoever keeps attacking David Cook for singing Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean supposedly without giving Chris credit, you need to relax. You obviously did not watch AI the night of the performance in question because if you did, you would see the credit was given to Chris Cornell right off the bat. When Ryan Seacrest introduced David Cook he did so by saying "...with Chris Cornell's version of Billie Jean, here's David Cook." So relax all you critical, mean people. And, by the way, we all know that David Cook did a phenomenal job with that version too--and Chris Cornell even liked it...so everyone stop this rumor and critique. Get your facts straight before you attack someone so vicously.
