Jay Leno: I'm Sorry Gays

"Tonight Show" host Jay Leno has apologized for asking a visibly uncomfortable Ryan Phillippe for his "gayest look" during an interview last week. Homey don't play that!

In a statement to People, Leno said "In talking about Ryan's first role, I realize that what I said came out wrong, I certainly didn't mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say, and I apologize."

Jay made the remark in a lame attempt to make light of Ryan's first acting gig as a gay teen on "One Life to Live."

Unfortunately, Leno has yet to apologize for 16 years of unfunny opening monologues.

76. Robert, the one thing that anyone who is schooled in proper debate etiquette will tell you is to never make an attack against an opponent unless you are certain of your facts and position. That, dear Robert, is a personal attack and unworthy of discourse between adults. Now, our interest in your pedophilic friend is not based in our own facination with the topic, quite the contrary, simply read our postings. Furthermore, for your edification, the majority of people who have actually travelled the world, let alone thoughout the United States of America, never say so, their experiences and discoveries naturally come through in their writing or dialogue. Now, I understand that you are upset with us for refuting your posting of the Hebrew faith havin a history of incest and polygamy, by utilizing a doctrinal and historical analysis, but that should not drive you to such rage as to question the courage of the inividuals whose logic defeated your own. But, this is America, this is a democracy, and with our public education system in dire need of repair, this is now the state of discourse in the US.

I wish you all the best Robert, and before you post again, please make certain that you have done your research and are prepared to defend your position. I have been debating since I was in primary school, and I do it now for a living and so do my collegues, this is mere entertainment for us, so please do not take it personally, you are not in our league.

80. I also dread the day Leno leaves and we're stuck with Conan O'Brien who is about as funny as a wet sock. I may also have to switch to letterman who I don't find particularly funny either. I am hoping against hope that Leno goes to another network where I can watch him.

81. Makes SENSE, so let me try to understand your hetrosexual logic, Ryan is being interviewed on NBC with a demographic of largely homophobic individuals such as yourself watching the Jay Leno show, and he gets upset because he is asked by Leno to make a gay look - and being upset by this potentially career and image damaging incident makes him gay? And, you also state that Ryan's career is in bad shape, he stopped doing movies to take care of the kids while Reese acted and then he had the affair with a woman which ended the marriage - since then he has made 3 movies and is preparing to do 5 more - and how is that a bad career? And, as for women, I dare say, he has likely beded more women in the last year than you will in your entire life, and that includes all of your blow up dolls.

Ryan is NOT gay, he is a good looking, smart actor, who knows that in this bigoted country any rumor of homosexuality would end his career as a leading man.

82. Now TMZ needs to apologize for all the pathetic and nasty "jokes" they have made about Brokeback Mountain and the actors who were in that movie. Talk about double standards. When Harvey Levin a GAY MAN continues to let homophobic gay jokes on his site, yet make a big deal that Jay Leno does it.

84. Jay is homophobic on a nightly basis so this is not new. He also makes me sick with his seedy porno references, and can't control himself when he brings it up to his guests, even little kids. Conan taking over can't come fast enough. I've had Leno's sexism and frat boy stupidity.

85. I don't think he should have apologized for a dam* thing. He made light of homosexuality. It's easy to do and the public in general finds jokes like that amusing because the bottom line is...most people understand that homosexuality is disgusting. It was funny...bottom line. The only thing thats repulsive about this whole story is that Jay Leno bowed down to the pressure of perverts. NOTE: anyone or anything that understandably points out the "ick factor" of homosexuality will be attacked by this site due to Harvey Levin's policies. Harvey is a homosexual in case any of you people didn't know. And the "ick factor" is a natural response from fair-minded individuals.

86. Jay Leno has great opening monologues. And even if he didn't, it wouldn't be his fault, it would be the writers' fault.

88. I used to see Jay Leno in the gay bars back in the 1980's before he became famous. I'm certain he's gay, and when he makes gay jokes he's just having fun. Yeah, he's married but he doesn't have children, right? And never will because it's just a marriage of convenience.

89. Robert, it is 5:00 am the markets overseas have been open for sometime and as we poured into the office, we had to turn our attention to TMZ rather that the Financial Times and other work necessary to our employment because we know human nature, and when we left the office last night, we were laughing so hard, we arranged a pool to see what kind of fiction you and your pedophilic compatriot USB would comport to attempt to deflect our onpoint discourse with some form of personal attack or yet another outrangeously false self-aggrandizment that was somehow meant to make our "fragile" egos and intellects crumble at your attack. Well, suffice it to say, that I lost the bet, I had wagered that you would not respond, but David stated you would respond and make some form of inane claim of doctrinal Biblical analysis to underscore your homophobic and bigoted belief system, as well a monetary or professional advancement to challenge once again our "fragile" sef-worth. Robert, dear Robert, the Bible as doctrine was written hundreds of years after the ressurection of Christ the Lord, and as with any other religious text of the three major mono-theistic faiths, contains many intrinsic contradictions. You are definitely correct in your assertion that there is a prohibition against homosexuality, but there is also an acceptance of slavery, wife abuse, polygamy, racism, Holy War, and many other acts and principles that do not seemingly follow the ideals of peace, acceptance, and love that were preached and lived by Christ the Lord. From the village of Jinja in Uganda where people do not have electricity and can only read the Bible in the day time to the bright lighs and blinding speed of Tokyo Japan where the Bible is online and read at lightning speed, the one thing that joins the brotherhood and sisterhood of Christ the Lord is the simple message, rich, poor, black, white, brown, asian, regardless of any defined measure, be a good person, and let God NOT man judge you.

Oh, dear Robert, and just like alledged global travelling and multi-cultural experiences, individuals who have wealth or property never speak of material matters. As in many things in life size only matters to those with diminished capacities.

I will not comment on your completey irrelevant and offensive attack on sexual activity in the same passage that you mention and attempt to analyze your beliefs and ethics based on the King James version of the Bible. The clear incongruity of such ignorance should not be lost even on individuals such as yourself, Robert, or USB.

And, finally, dear Robert, the average salary of an IT professional on Wall Street is in the neighbourhood of $250,000 - $280,000 and that is without performance bonuses, and with absolutely no disrespect to those hard workng souls without whom our entire work would grind to an immediate halt, traders, lawyers, and consultants compensation packages which are listed on every public form, exceed that by an average of 400% to 1000+% and likely much much more give bonus and performance structures.

Well, Robert, we all enjoyed your and USB's posting as always, but we apologize for the brevity of our response, we have a lot of work to do today, not rest for the "intelligent scholars", we are still laughing about that one, we forwarded your comment to our proffessors and collegues at Law School and Business School, you will soon have a very large fan base at TMZ.

Have a great day Robert and USB, and try to write somethig positive about something, someone, or anythin today - the way we view the world is a reflection of the way we view ourselves. And so, in the immortal words of Lewis Black from Back in Black on the Daily Show,".....stop acting like Jessie Helms...and starting acting like Hugh Heffner.....you'll have a lot more fun...be a lot more honest....and sure as hell be a lot more popular..." (Lewis Black mouth foaming and eyes rolling).

Just remember what we told you the last time Robert before you post, do your research and be prepared to defend your position, you are not merely not in our league, son, but after this last post, you are not even in my daughter's prep school debate class league. Keep workin, reading, educating yourself, and if you really want to be an erudite proponent of bigotry and hatred, then I respectfully direct you to the writings of Professor Phillipe Rushton of the University of Westen Ontario in Canada, anything from Bob Jones University, anything from the Heritage Founation, and finally works by Ann Coulter and Pat Buchanan. Best of luck, and until we meet again, have a great day.
