76. I have a very addictive personality. I've tried every drug in the book and I have no doubt in my mind that I would make a fabulous - FABULOUS - president. One has nothing to do with the other. This is just another case of people mixing business with pleasure. Just becuase the man smokes does not make render him an incompotent president. God, people, grow up! Seriously, I'm just starting to doubt America's citizens all together. Please someone prove to me that freakin GEORGIA and ILLINOIS aren't home to the only intelligent people in the country. 79. I have always voted Republican since 1988 except for the year I voted for Ross Peret. This year I am sure of one thing and that is I will not vote for Billary. The OLD SCHOOL POLITICIANS have royally screwed up and maybe it is time for a NEW POLITICIAN who has NO REAL TRAINING to get us out of this mess. We owe trillions to China, Japan and Saudi Arabia and nobody talks about it. The President does not have to know everything, they just have to have smart people advising them. If I do not vote McCain I would vote for Obama and I could care less if he smokes as long as he does not do it around me or my kids. I really do not think he would hold a press conference as Pres with a Cig in his hand. What he does behind closed doors is not my business if he keeps it private.

82. Smoking is extremely hard to quit if you have been a smoker for many years. It took me a year plus wearing the patch to finally quit. Non-smokers have no CLUE and should not give advice when they don't know a thing about being addicted to them.

84. Excuse me, but smoking is NOT hard to give up if you are READY to quit, and the key word is READY. I was a three pack + a day smoker for most of my teenage and adult life, and my husband and I both quit cold turkey. The first few days are the worst, because mostly you are looking for something to do with your smoking hand. It was well worth the effort, but as I said, if you haven't made up your mind you are really sick of that nasty habit, don't even waste your time.

85. I smoked for 15 years (a pack to a 2 packs a day) and stopped cold turkey. There's no reason anyone shold keep smoking. It's only hard if you don't want to stop.

When under stress, I revert back to biting my nails. This guy's release is a bit more disgusting, but it's nothing he's trying to hide. And how on earth can you wonder about the tobacco lobby when this guy clearly understands the detrimental effects of smoking and is fighting its horrible addictiveness? There are frankly more important things to be concerned with in a person who is running for President than the fact that he, too, is human and obviously needs to find a different outlet for his very human response to what is a rather large stressor in his life right now. Like, what are this guy's policies and how do they compare to those of the other candidates? This country has surely become pathetic when its citizens are unintelligent and childish enough to actually be willing to form their whole opinion about someone who may be the next leader of their country from one incomplete bit of biased information from a stupid gossip website.

TMZ, please leave political candidates to news outlets whose employees are actually capable of writing educated responses to the candidates' political policy and other such things that are actually important in a political leader. Your pathetic attempts to make yourselves relevant beyond the world of leeching off of celebrities are entirely unnecessary, no matter how much you may wish you were qualified to cover the elections as a real journalist instead of speculating on what some famous person ate for lunch today. Stick with what you know, because you apparently are not capable of or willing to share information regarding each of the candidates' vices and the skeletons in their respective closets. You have made your dislike of Obama quite clear through several "articles" here, and you have therefore proven that you are not qualified to cover any aspect of the elections, which should be covered by a real journalist who understands what it means to attempt to present information in a remotely unbiased fashion. If you want to continue writing stories about the candidates, I suggest you actually include stories about all of them, and include a prominent link to a page that collects all of these stories in one spot so that the easily impressionable, and often rather stupid, voting public can actually see more than just one disjointed bit of information about one person's particular vice. Your opinion is just that: your opinion. As such, it does not belong on a site that some, albiet rather unintelligent, members of our society may consider a legitimate news source.

88. Okay guys, it really shouldn't matter if he smokes or not. It's not like its weed or nething (but who doesnt toke up every now and then). Anyways, thats really not your problem, its his own. Its not like you're being affected by second hand smoke from him (I doubt he smokes n public) so don't compain abt it and care abt who could lead this country best for americans. Smoking does show his normal human side and I believe obama is the closest presidet to understand how average working class people think. Plus as long as he won't die in the next 4 years from smoking, it shouldn't matter.
