36. Hillary is interesting to me. She is going to the Martin Luther King tribute. McCain is going to be there too. However, Obama will not be there. Is it because a Moslem cannot pay tribute to MLK?

January 6, 1964, was a long day for Martin Luther King Jr. He spent the morning seated in the reserved section of the Supreme Court, listening as lawyers argued New York Times Co. v. Sullivan, a landmark case rising out of King's crusade against segregation in Alabama. The minister was something of an honored guest: Justice Arthur Goldberg quietly sent down a copy of Kings account of the Montgomery bus boycott, "Stride Toward Freedom," asking for an autograph. That night King retired to his room at the Willard Hotel. There FBI bugs reportedly picked up 14 hours of party chatter, the clinking of glasses and the sounds of illicit sex--including King's cries of "I'm f--ing for God" and "I'm not a Negro tonight!"

Note: What is not mentioned in this article is that Martin Luther King was having sex with three White women, one of whom he brutally beat while screaming the above mentioned quotes. Much of the public information on King's use of church money to hire prostitutes and his beating them came from King's close personal friend, Rev. Ralph Abernathy (pictured above), in his 1989 book, "And the walls came tumbling down."

39. #34... Hill & Mc SHOULD be there to COVER UP their race issues. Obama has nothing to prove, and it doesn't mean he was a muslim either- How juvenile. Muslims are not pretentous about their faith and would not PRETEND to be a Christian... trust me. Malcolm X & Martin Luther were cool with each other anyway. So let's not confuse ourselves any further or read something into nothing sweetheart.

Can't erase history, that's the real mystery... and MLK & Malcom X made plenty of speeches about the sick racism that is alive and well... so the two faced souls who go to "FAKE SUPPORT" using 2 cent psycology simply will not work.

And IF MLK was hitting off white prostitutes... it was more of the fact that they were white than how he funded the expenditure. As if America is in good standing with God anyway. And anyone who speaks ill of the dead is cursed anyway... REPENT!

MLK did do some great things but he was no saint, as he is certainly made out to be today. He seems to have been a total womanizer, thereby betraying his wife and children as well as his faith and status as a religious leader. Talk about needing to repent. As far as your point that HC and JC should have been there to make some kind of amends I think that is total BS. If they chose to go and give their respects I doubt it was because of some terrible thing they have done to harm the black community. And if politians are expect to go pay homage why should Obama get a pass just because he is black? Should that make it more important for him to go?

41. Thank you for your response. I never said MLK was a saint. God says NO NOT ONE OF US have a right to judge or condem another. Whatever immoral issues he's had were undoubtedly between him and his family & wife- his mission was far beyond who he slept with, what color they were etc. AGAIN... who are WE to judge? That was my point. IF GOD doesn't judge us until we're dead why should we??? Then in politics all these things matter and are put out there.

I truly doubt if HC or MC would have gone to pay homage had this not been election year. Everyone is trying to look good and better than the next. If Obama chose not to go, that may be why. We dont know why he did not go... but had he gone and no one else did and mentioned no one else did... the way this is going... it would have been a BLACK THING & he would be racist as he is already named.

Race, Religion & Politics it's all a game.

42. Politics suck... and the people always end up stuck.
The good thing about this race is the turn-out at the polls, record numbers in campaigning and people who never gave a damned one way or another or REALLY taking a look at their country, past, present and future.

Hopefully, people are using their own "intellect" if applicable, and what they feel is better for not just themselves or their personal opinions, but what's best for US. After all this race is about the US... the people. Basing how we vote based on one's race, gender, religion (or lack thereof), we're ALL in trouble unless you have stock in oil.

With what we're paying at the pump, our service men paying with their lives, and the middle class purged into the poor slot... someone's banking that money. We all will suffer. CHANGE IS MUCH NEEDED!
