"Idol" Wannabes Gag Us with Inspiration

Classic songs have been butchered every week on "American Idol" -- and next week they are taking stabs at the ones that inspire them. Jesus take the wheel!

Until TMZ moles obtain the song list -- and we will -- we've created a song list the wannabes should consider for themselves.

David Archuleta: "Papa Don't Preach" by Madonna
Kristy Lee Cook: "Don't Speak" by No Doubt
Michael Johns: "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" by Rolf Harris
Brooke White: "Crybaby" by Mariah Carey

Jason Castro: "I Am Not My Hair" by India.Arie
Carly Smithson: "I've Got You Under My Skin" by Frank Sinatra
Syesha Mercado: "Don't Forget About Us" by Mariah Carey

10. The only person ever worth seeing on American Idol is Constantine Maroulis. He is a HUGE talent and a MAJOR star. He needs to have his own variety show.

I love the man and will marry him someday.

12. I guess some of you missed the point. These are the songs that TMZ WANTS them to sing! #6, "Papa Don't Preach" is in reference to David A's father being a stage dad.

14. TMZ - maybe you should stop criticizing people that are actually talented, and do something productive with your lives. Creating demeaning comments about people is not something you should be proud of. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would ever want to visit this site, or actually care about anything you all have to say.
