Major Leaguer Pleads Guilty to Major Drinking

Scott SpiezioScott Spiezio got three years probation after pleading guilty to hit and run and DUI from a December 30 incident in which he drove through a fence and threw up on a friend's rug. Nice.

Spiezio -- who just last week signed with the Atlanta Braves -- also has to pay $1495.50 in fines, undergo a three-month alcohol program, attend two AA meetings and perform 80 hours of community service.

All other charges against Spiezio -- which included aggravated assault, battery and assault -- were dropped. No word on whether he replaced his friend's rug.

16. Just what Atalanta needs....another criminal! The Cardinals are better without him.

17. Well its back to double AA , and I'm not talking about baseball.. Now why on Earth would Hotlanta want a guy like this on their team?? Another loser, another drunk.. another puke. Why?? Just like the Hawkeyes football team.. why recruit the criminals and troublemakers?? Do you want to lose fans?? I am so sick of these athletes who break the law because they feel they are untouchable.. to popular. How about good roll models and leaders. The Braves are better without the drunken puke...

18. Why does the city of Atlanta need another criminal?
They already have Michael Vick. The cards don't need him anyway. They are 5-1 and Spezio has a record. Forget him in ST. Louis . He's a loser.

23. Here's a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't Worry - Be Happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it Double
Don't Worry - Be Happy
Ain't got no place to lay your head,
somebody came and took your bed
Don't Worry, Be Happy
The landlord say your rent is late,
he may have to litigate
Don't Worry - Be Happy
Ain't got not cash, ain't got no style,
ain't got no gal to make you smile
Don't Worry - Be Happy
Cause when you worry your face will frown
and that will bring everybody down
Don't Worry - Be Happy

24. At least they got the right picture this time. That beardlet would be bad at anytime but it wouldn't have been that bad if he hadn't dyed it cardinal red for good luck during the post season. Pity all it did was make him look bad.

Go Sox

25. He was the ugliest of an ugly Cardinal team. But on the Braves, he is second-ugliest to Chipper Jones, who is one dye job away from being Carrot Top!

27. OMG The Cardinals are not ugly. Have you seen Albert Pujols???? Molina? Ankiel? LaRue?
and we miss Spiezio, he's adorable and I hope he straightens his life out. Dude, next
time, just call a cab---I know you have the pocket change. Go Cards!

28. i believe there is a difference between raising dogs to fight and then baiting them until the stronger kills the weaker, while wagering is different than getting drunk, bumping your car into a fence and then pushing your neighbor aside so you can puke, It did ding up the tree and make the rug smell; but you can't compare the two.

Why don't you all weight the "crimes", think about times you over partied.

29. Also, if we measured people by their chin whiskers Steven Douglas would have been the 16th president and if you don't know who was the 16th president you should stop complaining about chin whiskers and read some history. it was Lincoln so you won't have to read anything and miss CSI.
