18. I agree with tuna. Most of the people on here "outraged" about Mike Vick's actions probably don't even bat an eyelash when news stories about murder or child abuse flash across their TV's. We have been thoroughly programmed to react on demand, like Pavlov's dogs (gotta love the irony in that one). What better way to run the country into ruin while your brainwashed citizens are too busy screaming and demanding justice for dogs? This is not to say dogs aren't important, but as long as people think it's ok to blow the brains out of deer, quail, and other animals, I have a hard time buying this "outrage" over dogs. Sounds like people want Vick's head for another reason, and it isn't about any dogs.

19. i think all prisons should be self supporting any thing an inmate needs should be made or grown with their own hands. I'm sick of useing my taxpayer money so they can play.

21. Hope he learns his lesson and make a comeback. Horrendous thing to do. However, even as a dog lover, i think he shouldn't have to serve prison time. Dogfighting has been going on for years all over the world. You can't target one group. Also, these are vicious dogs that harm or kill alot of people every year. He should've put them to sleep though.

23. all of you people saying that vick should be stuck in a cage...you are right...don't let him try and rehab himself...learn responsiblity...just put him in a cage...so he's WORSE when he comes out than he was when he went in. Take a person that made a mistake and make him a criminal...that's ezatly what he needs...losers...I hope Whatever God you believe in has more mercy on your judgement day than many of you have shown Vick...and FYI he has donated over two million dollars to pitbull rescue - including the housing and care of his dogs - since he has been incarcerated...losers...Vick via con dios - for only God shall judge...

24. Hang in there Vick. God bless you and your family. We know you made a mistake just like the rest of us. One thing here is that if you kill a human being instead of dogs, people wouldn't hate you this much. In this country, dogs have more value than human. So, lesson to learn here is whatever you do, don't mess with dogs.
Keep doing positive thing, and focus on the future. We all make mistake, keep praying, God will forgive you.

Sorry Tuna, that wasn't a mistake, that was plain murder. Dogs love unconditionally, unlike humans and and live to please their owner. Vick not only killed those dogs, but starved them, taught them to fight to the death, and when they didn"t accomplish what that moron Vick wanted them to do he tortured them. by hanging them and worse. No sympathy here, I agree with # 4, he should have to play ball with a bunch of the dogs he trained to kill. Will never understand why we tax payers have to pay for the keep of these criminals while they are in prison and then pay them to do dishes. He needs to be tortured just like he did to the animals, they couldn't fight back Maybe if the law would come down harder on all criminals, another one might think before committing a crime. And for those of you who think the world should be rid of these animals, you are no better than these dog killers. If you can't love one of God's little creatures he gave to us to care for, then I feel sorry for you. And like the other poste wrote, "HANG" in there Vic.

25. You dopes defending Vick's actions are dumber than he is. You're so ready to forgive your hero for one of two reasons: 1) He's black or 2) he's a QB. There is NO denying that he killed and/or participated in killing defenseless animals for HIS ENTERTAINMENT. Stop with the stupid "Well, people shoot deer" argument. People actually use deer meat to feed their families. Get the difference?
And don't presume to know how other people feel about violent crimes towards other humans. It just makes you look like you're desperately trying to find excuses for siding with a thug.

They are only vicious dogs because people like Vick make them that way. Just because it's done all over the world doesn't make it right. We are supposed to be a civilized country not some 3rd world country who doesn't know any better or care. As for deer, elk moose, ducks, etc, they were given to us for nourishment, dogs are domesticated creatures given to us for companionship. Lot of difference there, Unless you are going to eat it, don't kill it. But we have grocery stores now, we aren't living in the 1800's where hunting was done for the family food. What Vick and others everywhere did and still do to these animals is just wrong and should have to pay for what they did. He killed innocent animals for money which makes it even worse. But....HANG in there Vick.

28. As I think that Mr Vicks actions that lnded him in prison were deplorable, I commend him for doing something positive. As far as money is concerned, lets face it, hes not going to get hired anytime soon, whichever team hires him, PETA is going to be all over there ass.

You are proving my point that there are so many Dog lover fanatic in this country. Vick already got what he deserved. He lost his job, he is serving time. What else do you want happen to him? Everybody deserve a second chance. When he get out of prison, he deserve to get his job back. Even people who killed people get their job back when they get out. Vick already showed that he's sorry, and accepted his responsibility, serve his time. Back off, and save your energy on blasting something more important event, (our troop and innocent civilian get kill everyday in the middle east...ect).
