Michael Vick Scores In Prison!

Just when you thought Michael Vick's football career was over, he's resurrected it once again in the joint.

Apparently, Leavenworth's most athletic inmate is showing off his moves on the field, er, jail yard, and is quarterbacking the prison football team. Falcons owner Arthur Blank tells the NY Daily News, the disgraced baller is adjusting as well as he can to prison life, and is staying busy by doing dishes and writing letters.

For his toil and trouble as a dishwasher, Vick gets about 12 cents an hour. In his last season with the Falcons, Vick raked in $1.4 million, all part of a 10-year, $130 million contract that he signed in 2004.

He's set for release in July of 2009.

32. Tuna - You are clearly delusional and in need of help. People who commit muder usually don't have jobs and, if they do and commit murder they won't be getting that job back. Vick should never be allowed to play football again! He should have thought about his career before KILLING animals! He gave up his right to play!!!!!!

33. I have a hard time buying this "outrage" over dogs. Sounds like people want Vick's head for another reason, and it isn't about any dogs.

36. Hey Sig12...and I am not trying to start an argument with you at all...but talk to the government officials who have made the prison industry a multi-billion dollar yearly industry...there is a certain section of business making big money off of keeping people incarcerated...that's why there are mandatory minimums all across the country...the notion of "rehabbing" persons has gone out the window...the fastest growing prison population is non-violent, first time offenders being sentenced to mandatory minimums...the punishment process has been removed from the discretion of the judical bodies and put under federal regulation...I wonder why...I mean we all know the government wouldn't twist the rules in their favor to make a buck...right...i'm just sayin'...

39. . Just saying,
You are proving my point that there are so many Dog lover fanatic in this country. Vick already got what he deserved. He lost his job, he is serving time. What else do you want happen to him? Everybody deserve a second chance. When he get out of prison, he deserve to get his job back. Even people who killed people get their job back when they get out. Vick already showed that he's sorry, and accepted his responsibility, serve his time. Back off, and save your energy on blasting something more important event, (our troop and innocent civilian get kill everyday in the middle east...ect).

I wouldn't call people fanatics because they don't want animals treated cruelly or tortured. I would call them compassionate toward the animals who look to us for their care. They have no say in the kind of life they live. The troops in Iraq, God Bless them went there willingly. They weren't "tortured" into going. There's a difference in fighting for your country and being a defenseless animal who is trained and forced to fight till the death for the fun of the kill that these dogs were trained to do by Vick and people like Vick. The only job Vick should get when he gets out should be to work at an animal shelter and see first hand what these poor animals endure through him and people like him. Vick knew it was wrong when he did it and if he wouldn't have been caught he would still be doing it. He's only sorry and taking responsibility now because HE GOT CAUGHT. Have you ever looked into the eyes of a tortured animal? They FEEL the pain that is inflicted on them and there's nothing they can do about it. So, no you aren't going to get anywhere with me in feeling sorry for Vick or anyone else like him. To know right from wrong and choose wrong doesn't deserve any pity.

The ones who killed the remaining dogs were put to sleep in a humane way, not tortured to death and then only because of people like Vick who trained them to be killers ,never again to be the pets they were intended to be. That's why they aren't in jail, do you have any common sense at all? This has nothing to do with race, so put your race card back in your pocket. It's always the racist people who keep pulling out that oh so old race card.

41. I think that he should be forgiven. When he gets out of jail he should give some of his time to animal shelters and talking to youngs kids about doing the right thing. A lot of kids still like him and they should use him as an example to do the right thing. We dont want him to die or have anything demeanig done to him as many of you have suggested. What he did was terrible, but we could definately use him as an example for young kids so that maybe he could help lessen this cycle of wild behavior among youth so they dont have to make these mistakes. I am still a fan , I know tons of people who still are and will still support him and they come from all walks of life. I am still shocked to know of the things he did and I do agree that if you do a crime, you do the time. I think the media blew it up and they are against HIM and only him. No one ever talks about his friends who did this more than he did. They can go back to their regular life and go unnoticed unlike Mike.
I still luv ya ookie

America the most racist place on Earth? America isn't racist, it's the people in it that are racist. Love it or leave it and don't get lost on your way out.
