76. to #20 hollyyyy, yes at one time it was not unusual for people to get married and have children when they were 13, 14 years old BUT the life expectancy then was your 30's if you were lucky. In this day and age there is no reason for 13, 14, 15, 16, etc year olds to be having children. What does Jamie Lynn know about life and all the responsibilities that go with it? She has gone from childhood to motherhood. I find it sad not only for the baby but for her. What in the hell was her mother even thinking when she allowed her to be with a 17 year old when she was 14? Shameful! 14 year olds have no business dating much less having sex. This is 2008 holllyyy, not 1808. Jamie Lynn has a long hard road ahead of her and she should learn very quickly that this baby when it is born is not a doll but a human being who will have needs far more important than her own. And it never ends...tell me hollyyy, do you have kids? If so how old are they? Once they become adults it isn't over...just ask plenty of retired folks with their adult kids and their grandchildren living with them because they cannot make it on their own. My friend found out. Her daughter had a baby at 16...she went to live with the father's grandparents...she and her baby are now back living with my friend. My friend is 45 now and dealing with an unemployed, non high school graduate daughter and her son. There is nothing cute about Jamie Spears being pregnant. It is sad., especially in this day and age.

77. Please please please leave this poor girl alone. She made a mistake, and seems to be dealing with it by trying to maintain a normal life in rural Louisiana. There is absolutely no reason why you should be taking pictures of this girl going to Target, Ruby Tuesday's, etc.

79. Frank
Are you writing about your girlfriend again?

80. At least she is acting more like an adult taking responsibility than some of you on here who can't even spell! She is doing the right thing by stepping up tp the plate! It's a tough job to take on. She doesn't deserve such negativity.

81. To #78 minding your own business, you are fortunate. Yes, I agree that in the very early 1900's girls gave childbirth earlier, most peole did not live as long as they do now. My own grandmother got pregnant at 16, married and had a somewhat successful marriage. My grandfather was 26, a veteran of WW1, had no education and was a coal miner. They were married for 50 years when he passed away and she mourned him but she never wished that kind of life for me. I agree that people should mind their own business but Jamie Lynn's mother decided to put her girls in show business, allowed her to date at a very young age and let her live with a much older boy. She threw those girls into the media spotlight, and whether you like it or not, people have the right to their opinions. You gave up alot starting a family so young and if it worked for you, great but you are the exception to the rule.

83. The little girl thought she was ready to make adult decisions and see what that got her. I remember well my college days and all the sweet young things that wanted sex as soon as they got away from mommie and daddy. The kind of female that would go from male to male for just sex sure was not the female you wanted to take home to your parents. Jamie seems to be one of those females that loves sex and she got knocked up. Jamie does not have mental problems like her big sister and she can put the baby up for adoption but Britney is stuck with her mental issues for life.

84. 21. I hate it when people say "preggers" instead of "pregnant"

It's not cute and it's not really abbreviated, so why do it? Words like "prolly" "preggers" "hubby" and "hella" make you sound like a dumb ass.

28. I wonder who the future hubby of the
preggers Jamie lynn will be?

85. Police and DSS should take her into custody and put her in a foster home. The police just did this to a bunch of 16 year old mothers and pregnant girls at the compound of JCLDS in Texas. Its an open and shut case.

I agree that we can disagree, but as far as you saying I gave up a lot........You are wrong, I gained a lot. More than I could ever have hoped for. My husband and my children were and are the most precious things in life for me, as are my grandchildren. I do agree this doesn't happen that often, but when you love your husband and your children more than yourself, the love comes back to you seven fold. I am so blessed to have been given a wonderful man, beautiful, intelligent children and grandchildren. If Jamie can learn to give unconditional love to her baby and her babies father, she will get it back seven fold also. Everything happens for a reason, God works in mysterious ways. I think Jamie will do just fine.

87. If you knew anything at all about certain sounthern regions of this great country of ours, then you would know that it is customary for girls/boys to MARRY at 12 & 14! Take a trip to her hometown. Talk with a few of the locals. Ask the married ones [who are middle-aged] how long have they been married and how old were they when they had their 1st child. MOST of them will say things like: 'married at 13...14...15...16...17 and had my 1st kid at 13...14...15...16...17......

Maybe in YOUR side of town, but not in mine; the kids I know in the South head to college & careers, marrying in late 20s,if then. Different socio-economic classes have different aspirations.Plenty of people make it out of small towns and on to higher education.

88. Leave her alone, damn. No one did this to Beyonce's little sis who got knocked up. Ridiculous.

Posted at 9:54PM on Apr 8th 2008 by Nikki

89. In a way I feel bad for her. Here she is 16/17 with her own
cable show, she is on top of the world and the sky is the limit.
Then for 1/2 hour or so of sex her whole future is changed
(and not for the better).
Oh, well. better her than my
nieces (Knock on wood). Also, the TMZ reporter assigned
to cover Jamie must be in hot water with the powers that be.

90. wow i think you guys really need to leave her alone seriously. you saw what all the attention did to her sis. i'm glad she is taking responsibility for her actions, good for her, now let her live in piece. we all know she's having a baby, comfy clothes are amazying, cheaper food is still good food, and as much as i dislike walmart it is great for college students. this crap is not news!
